My stylist uses Babybliss tourmaline and I saw all they hype and purchased one too. I noticed by hair felt dry using the tourmaline. I ordered FHI Ceramic (throw back from college) and brought it to the salon for my stylist to try. She noticed the difference of how soft my hair was with the ceramic using FHI and she will be ordering one.

I use a Babyliss flat iron. It gets my hair straight and silky.

Yes, FHI irons are amazing! I have the ceramic platform and their titanium one. For some reason the FHI titanium doesn't straighten as well as the ceramic and it makes my hair dry. I stick to ceramic.

Can you add best heat protectant to this series? And maybe a video on salon level shampoo & conditioner? I’ve noticed that my hair is so much smoother and more moisturized when I get it shampooed at the salon.

I will keep the FHI flat iron in mind if/when my 14+ Sedu Revolution Nano Tourmaline ever decides to give up the ghost. On another note, I've never been to a hair salon that used Conair tools. At home I still have an old Solia Thermal Ionic made in Italy, going strong also for 14+ years. Lastly, I have the FHI handle-less blow dryer but I didn't realize that you can't control the temperature, only the force of the air. I am now looking at Elchim 3900 and Babyliss Pro Rapido or Volare.

A lot of stylists put the blow dryer right on the hair with the concentration nozzle 😭 I feel like that’s where a lot of heat damage comes from

i am color treated natural, high porosity hair, been coloring my hair for 7 years and wont be stopping either. Just trying to keep my hair healthy and maintain color. My hair is medium to fine, i think my hair medium density sometimes feels like high especially when i get it straightened. I want to use heat more often i only use heat once or twice to get a trim on straight hair. i have noticed as well that i cant have my hair flat straight i need volume it suits me best. i dont know if straight natural, i just want to be able to use heat while maintaining my hair. 😅 I already own a flat iron; its ceramic so am in the right place the brand is remington and blow dryer i have two types but the main one is wahl Just need to fine I good heat protectant and good leave in. I use shea moisture and keracare spray blowout

Also, I feel like majority of heat training videos from professionals are aimed at people who wash biweekly or less. What about people who wash weekly? I've just been blow drying weekly and flat ironing every other week to once a month.

That's fine if your hair is coarse and your using ceramic tools. I would suggest taking breaks throughout the year tho.
