Oh wow. Wish we could find chains like this where I live 18k best I can find which is what I bought but would love a 24k chain. My Father use to be a "Silver Smith" for Kirk Steiff Company for 30 some years and had said you burned the alloy on that coin that you had the flame too hot but other then that EXCELLENT work. He said if alloy is checked it'll show burned and it will effect value of the gold.

Not sure what your Dad means 'Burned the Alloy on that coin' this coin is pure 24ct gold no Alloy on or inside it! Also you need the coin hot while soldering it together with the ring otherwise the solder will only flow to the ring.

@@saltymemesmith probably didnt know it was 24k. He probably assumed 18k at most as not many places these days carry pure 24k Gold Jewlery or make them.. I will correct him Probably thought it wasnt pure. He is a Silver Smith of 35 years. He use to make the Preakness trophy and tiffanys stuff for Kirk Stieff Company. He is the only living Silver Smith I beleive left here in America. Everything is machine done these days he use to take flat silver discs and put em on a laith and turn em into goblets and all with his custom tools he made. You can google and find out about my father there are still articles on him from before steiffs closed down. He did pewter work also.

So so beautiful! But delicate…the gold is so soft it would not take much .to bend and or break it. Also the British coin 🪙 will scratch horrible But… what a chain you could display…if someone gave me the jewelry, I would gladly accept…thank you for the demo/video. Blessings to u all…

With that thickness, no need to worry about gold softness. It is thick enough. I bought a 24k gold bracelet with parts way smaller and yet it is still very strong.
