Is there a name for this type of flattened and punched rod? I have a rod like this that came with some bookcases I bought, and the flared and punched end of the rod was offset from the center of the rod's diameter so as to lay flat against the bookcase. Is that something that can be made by your company?

Don't know if you got your project done. But if you're not doing a lot of them then you can always heat the end orange red hot and hammer it flat, let cool then drill a hole if needed. I have done this many times. I made temporary die set once for a short run. Take some tonnage to flatten it out. Lots of time invested in making a die set. That's why it cost so much for them. But after the initial cost, the parts sold from it makes up for the manual labor to make other wise
