that move that Rubik's does in the thumbnail is amazing but the camera angle they used here to show it is terrible. there are so many cameras pointed at the dancers but the editing is still shortchanging their dance expression and our experience watching them.

Rubix's dance has little hip-hop and a lot of acrobatics and pop, of course he is talented, but these are facts.

Just 'cause no one else can do his moves doesn't make it 'not hip-hop' or acrobatics. He's got hip-hop style, timing, and story telling in him through and through. Hip-hop lives and breathes, it's meant to evolve just like it did with Les Twins, Majid, Franky, and all the other legends of the last decade. Unlike the vast majority of dance style with very strong traditions and very little growth.

Bruh there’s a huge difference in smth evolving and completely changing smth. These are the characteristics of the 90‘s Hip Hop Dance we know: Groove, Flow, Bounce. Now you’re gonna sit there and tell me that Rubix uses all those 3 things in his rounds? Ofc Hip Hop is revolving everyday, but you need to have those 3 things in your dance to call it Hip Hop. If not, it’s not Hip Hop. That’s like saying a Popping Dancer who doesn’t pop, still dances popping.

Eu detesto os DJ'S de hoje em dia ,só tocam remix ,que saudades dos campeonatos de antigamente só tocavam HIP-HOP de "VERDADE" ,não essas modinhas de hoje ,ainda mais com essa n Merda de Bateria ao vivo aff... E em questão do Rubix ele está perdendo a musicalidade e se preocupando com movimentos difíceis e exagerados chega ser ridículo!!! Acho que ele deveria ter algumas aulas com o Larry e o Laurent (Les twinz) que em questão de ritmo e musicalidade eles pra mim são os melhores do mundo, "pra mim"!!

Sorry to make a case but I am not to fund of the songs played for this final. I know this are hip hop songs but honestly they don't give dancer the chance to dance and express themselves on the songs. They are direct songs and stiff in beats in my opinion. The dj God bless your soul but the beats in my situation won't be played for finals at all, not having it. Not the best of songs In my experience of seeing such battles. Congrats to the winners and congrats to the contenders also but for me if the music ain't cooking, it shows on the dance floor and the crowd could tell with their expression during the dance exchange.

What's up with camera and camera angles?? Not talking about freezes closer to the end of the video.. guys.. I've heard about Flavourama for years, but video production of this is so bad... But at least hope that atmosphere irl was good. But there is no point in posting videos of it if it's bad AF.

For RUBIX it all begins with the music. The music was ass especially the live drums so he wasn’t feeling it. You could tell.

Nao tinha como entrar no ritmo (eu acho), DJ cagou geral, pode perceber que a galera em volta nao tava mt empolgada. O Rubix consegue encaixar bem a musicalidade com com os movimentos difíceis, mas vai uma série de fatores contra quem, aonde, e com quem tbm.

rubix has got amazIng moves but. they mean zero if they are not supported by groove, musicality and rythm. he and many dancers lost their dance and cant dance anymore because to much focus on the performance Against real dancers like icee , Yudat, Fabrice, or Tip top , they have no chance to deliver something meaninful. New generation hip is almost dead. all about trick and zero dance

rubix has incredible groove, musicality and rhythm, he just not looking on form in this battle. He does have many flashy moves but he usually incorporates incredible musicality to them too, but i can agree in this battle he is lacking and I think the music has something to do with it, some of the worst songs I've heard and really messy mixing by the DJ which can also really put dancers off their game.

Nah Kuty was putting in work for two here. Rubix's current style translates better to all-style battles, in hip-hop battles like this though? Not gonna cut it. (He even said on Insta, he's not a hip-hop dancer.)
