Fading Steps:
1st step, guideline with zero (make sure it drops towards back)
2nd step, guideline with .5 (no guard lever open)
3rd step, guideline 1.5
4th step blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
5th step, blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
6th, step, continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
7th, step, blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
8th, step, open lever half way, continue blending
9th step, open lever half way, continue blending
10th step, do any touch up work
11th step, use trimmers to take out bottom hair
12th step, use electric shaver

I started giving haircuts to my husband since COVID started. Had a BIG learning curve, but I've been enjoying learning and getting better. After more than 25 years on KZfaq i thought I’d never leave a comment but here i am. Credit to you Sergio and Adrian, the level of skill is unreal. The tutorials are awesome and a great guide for new barbers like me learning the art. I watch many KZfaq barber channels but by far FC deliver the highest quality fades.
