The FDNY Rescue Operations Battalion is located on Roosevelt Island in Manhattan with Tactical Support Unit 1 and Command Tactical Unit 1. They are assigned to Collapses, Confined Space, High Angel, Subway Emergencies, Derailments, person under train, bricks falling, scaffolding incidents, water rescues, person in water, SCUBA, Hazmat Decon Ops, Major & Minor Tech responses. 2nd Alarms., 10-76, 10-77 High Rise Signals, 10-80 Code 2, 10-60 Responses.
Rescue Battalion is a 2019 Chevrolet 2500HD.
Staffed by Rescue Battalion & Rescue Ops Firefighter that is Hazmat Tech Level 2
Equipment carried but not limited to, 6ft Hallagan, 6ft hook. hazmat meters, Lion suites, PAPRs, Post Radio, binoculars, bent tip nozzle.
Rescue Battalion over seas all rescues operations in the city of New York, responsible for Rescues, Squads, TSUs, Dewatering Unit, Rescue Logistics.
