@@clydester2677 🤔 to heck with my wife. Introduced to Stevie in 75-76, my wife in 78.... so? I actually did meet/run into Mic Fleetwood a few times in the early 80s. Both my wife and I on separate occasions talked briefly with Mic in Mayfair market on point dume in Malibu. Usually mid afternoon and I don't think he'd slept much... was friendly enough. Literally bumped into him rounding a corner. Looked him straight in the chest. Looked up and sheepishly said, hi Mic .. enjoy your music. He nodded, said thanks. Yes, He's tall and has huge eyes..😁

You are correct ..Taylor Swift doesn't have the vocal range...uniqueness or talent that Stevie has...none of these pop singers do...not saying that none of them can sing...but with a lot of them its autotune....if they had to do a concert...a live performance without using some autotune...they'd be toast...welll they are toast...in my book...

Of Course this is The Transatlantic Fleetwood Mac Mark 2. The original Mick Fleetwood/McVie Group had 3 great guitarists, including one of the World's best Blues Guitarists which is why the original Late 1960's Band were called " Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" but he had too much LSD, The Irish Guy:Danny Kirwan became an alcoholic and Jeremy Spencer left to join a Californian Commune so they hired a brand new band with a different sound. Their old sound had hits like the beautiful " Albatross" and " Black Magic Woman"...

Yep and she later had one with the drummer. And the keyboardist had a thing with the guitarist. They were a lesson in not to screw your band mates. Literally. This song brings back so many memories of that year , an almost magical summer, girls coming into and going out of my life , love , heartbreaks , so much cruising in my built Roadrunner on wonderful summer nights , windows down , I can sense the great early summer floral smell in the air like it was yesterday. The girls would keep putting this song on over and over and going into a romantic dreamy state . All those great nights parked at the lake and always hearing maggot brain at midnight. Hurricane by Neil Young was another they always wanted.

The song was written by Stevie back in the 70s after her & Lindsey were traveling through Silver Springs, MD. Stevie Nicks has a very unique voice. She sings alto but can hit some high note as well. Very creative the way she sings with the different intonations that bring out the emotions as well as the depth of the song. It's like her voice caresses the song at just the right moment.

Thank you for suggesting a Peter Green era tune - and a good choice, at that! I've always loved the opening line lol. In the world of rock music history, there aren't many things more saddening than how easily PG was forgotten. A revolutionary musical genius, excellent singer, and one of the best guitarists of all time. The demise of Syd Barrett has much in common with that of PG, but most Floyd fans know Syd. I think PG is every bit as deserving of this recognition, if not more due to his greater musical ability and talent. (Not knocking Syd, just sharing my opinion lol.)

@@doctorx3 I can honestly say I love just about every one of those people and bands you named and have the entire catalog for at LEAST a half to 3/4's of them. You might not like the Eagles but you have to respect the music they made and not only the shows they put on but the number of people that still go to their shows. The Stones belong in that list as well. Pink Floyd together and apart are still great musicians. You didn't list Genesis and Phil Collins on his own because both made great music. Sting and The Police as well. Eric Clapton and just about every band he was in and his solo career. The Allman Brothers Band chugged along without Duane which to me is still a shame. I think we could do this for days! :-D
