Yes he is and a very underrated one at that but for those of us in the know he’s very much appreciated I think I kinda like it as a secret so it’s a hell of a lot easier seeing him live but of course that’s when the cat lets the bird out bc he knows how much fun it is to be part of the show lol may the rock gods always shine on Lindsey bc he’s probably the greatest guitarist I’ve ever seen live well he no doubt put on the best overall performance and I’ve seen Clapton Dylan Bruce T P and the heart breakers dire straights Pink Floyd all the big names and I’ve always appreciated Lindsey the most he really caught me off guard with not just how amazing he is but how he plays it period I’ve never seen nor heard of anything like it and without him it always takes two guitars and the sound just isn’t the same and that’s how it is kiddos the best isn’t always the greatest but the best always gives you the greatest within them god love Lindsey and if I’m lucky they will invite him back for one last hoorah hooray let’s get Lindsey on tour again bc he’s the soul of what is this Fleetwood Mac at least that’s how I see it and believe in it great post thank u my friend

You know, I do agree the vocals are more passionate on this one that in the '76 video. It's clear Lindsey has been through the ringer, it comes through so well in his agonized voice. However I still like the '76 video better. I like the cadence and harmony with Stevie better in that one. Not to say the '82 one is bad... Well, the hair is bad. And the hat. And the vest. C'mon Lindsay! You were a rock GOD, dress like one! lol

Sorry, but that's exactly the wrong attitude. You don't know why there were dislikes. There are any number of possible reasons. Maybe the song just brought out too much pain on the part of the person giving that dislike. Don't assume too much.

Lindsey Buckingham is my absolute favorite guitarist. Only saw them twice - once during this tour (in Indy). Both times, despite being in a relatively podunk city - he was the consummate showman/musician. He was as physical a player as he was musical - and singing on top of all that? He was made for giant arenas - standing at the edge of the stage with beautifully lyrical yet intricate solos cutting through the echo of the arena and din of the crowd - coaxing the crowd higher and higher with his guitar, his amazing voice, and frenzied physical presence - with Christine McVie's B-3 throwing up a wall of sound underneath his guitar ... well, it's simply quintessential 60's/70's rock 'n roll.

Oh my Lindsey, you Sir are most definitely sitting alongside the greatest guitar gods of all time. I'm 55 years old, how have I not seen this live performance of this song and so glad I have, least to say, there will be plenty more viewing of this work of art.

Well said and, if you would like to go back in time a little from this one, there is a great version from 1976, before they were mega-stars, outdoor concert called Rosebud, in Santa Barbara, they had just been together about a year. Then, go forward from this one to 1997, The Dance...all are great and you can watch them change. Stevie also sings backup on those versions. Enjoy!

It's a dark song and the Rosebud performance captures the spirit. You can feel the paranoia Lindsey was feeling when the wrote it. I have no doubt that drugs inspired some of the best music ever created. The songs from the 60's and especially the 70's are fantastic and original.

This album came out my senior year in high school. If you add up their albums by time respectively, you can see how huge an impact Fleetwood Mac had on me when was young. They were a hugely popular band at that time. Tusk came out freshman year. Rumours was junior high school, and so on. And I loved Fleetwood Mac. I adored them. All of them and their music.

what an absolute classic and possibly the best version I've heard to date, finger plucking at its best, shame what happened between Lyndsey and Stevie nicks, possibly one of the mac's darkest tunes as well.........thumbs up if you think the solo at the end rocks

The Rosebud version of this song was better. I prefer the white Les Paul he played back then, a more haunting sound. And Stevie harmonizing with Lindsey. Pure perfection!
@CharlyDS8 жыл бұрын
How come every version out there of this song is differently amazing? Rosebud, Boston, The Dance.. In audio terms, the one in The Chain (not sure the concert source) is above all of them I guess. But none is less than fantastic. This song is Lindsay's masterpiece (and he did a lot of great work of course).
