Fleetwood Mac's brilliance was fueled by the love/hate amongst the band members. When Stevie Nicks stares down Lindsey Buckingham, she is singing directly to him and she means every word.

The only thing missing in this performance was a couch on stage so Stevie could make Lindsey sleep on it after the song was over. 😆

For my money, this is Stevie's finest moment. what an INTENSE moment. when you know that story of the band, and that much of their catalogue was written about the failed relationships between Stevie/Lindsey and Christine/John. When she stares him down and sings AT him here.....chilling! just amazing

That eye contact was pure emotion. She wrote the song about him, and you could just feel the pain of their relationship coming out. The original song wasn't on Rumours. It was the B side to the Go Your Own Way single. Wasn't even popular until this performance happened. Nice reaction, guys.

You know the guy she was making “great eye contact” with-is the guy the song is about. Lindsay Buckingham. They broke up during the making of Rumors. (So did the bass and piano player-John and Christie McVee.) I think you both need to revisit this song in 30 years. Maybe by then you’ll have experienced love, loss, and betrayal. (It might hit you harder than it does now.)

They played FM so much on the radio I always just took them for granted (same feeling for Tom Petty) . Never bought an album, never saw them live....until they broke up-- and then saw Lindsay when he toured solo. His energy alone, not to mention crazy lead and rhythm guitar/ vocals, fascinating storyteller too. He closed with Tusk !!!...of course without USC Marching Band - but he pulled it off and I've seen him 4 xs solo since. He was a major part of who they were. I do regret not ever seeing Christine McVie.... she's a one of a kind....her lead vocals were so vulnerable..her harmonizing vocals just snuck up on you and grabbed your heart it seemed. I did stare at their Rolling Stone cover many lonely afternoons, though...imagining their complicated personal lives intertwined on the road, on stage, etc, etc💔 Fascinating band with hits that rivaled everyone's roster. Check out, "For You"...Christine sing lead and she is basically the opposite type talent/performer that Stevie was/is.

My father abandoned my mother, brother and I when I was 12 for a woman he met at work. It broke my mom's heart and completely changed the direction of our lives. Years later he wrote to me saying it was the worse mistake he ever made but it was too late by then. This song sums up the feelings my mom had toward a man she loved with all of her heart only to have it shattered.

This fabulous song was never released on a Fleetwood Mac studio album, as it was not included on the Rumours LP.. It was only available as the B-side to the "Go Your Own Way" hit single in late 1976, which I had the 45 and wore out both songs on the record until they were crackly.. "Silver Springs" did not achieve popularity until 21 years later when the Live concert, The Dance, was released, and the "Silver Springs" performance was nominated for a Grammy award.. Yeah, I have loved the song since since having that old 45 single record, so it is great to see the tune and video having great new life from the Live performances in concert, and still being appreciated, and standing the test of time..
