This stuff is amazing. Yes, you do need to make sure to apply it correctly, especially when wrapping plumbing for TEMPORARY repair only. I don't think I've ever skipped a single Flex Tape commercial - what a way to sell a product!

@@R0-83-RT why would you think tape is as sturdy as the metal? They advertise it as an emergency solution, and the boat is simply the display of its effectiveness. Anyway, that's a bad idea to step on any kind of tapelike material under pressure with your boots - they can penetrate it quite easily. Water creates severe force evenly distributed over the whole taped surface, while the boot creates a smaller force with a really small area of touch, so the pressure can be even bigger. And, anyway, applying pressure to both sides of the tape on the same moment is a bad idea - that is an easiest way to penetrate it.
