Here is my break down on Flex Power tools. On the blog post i have a price breakdown compairing FLEX to Milwaukee. Again I am not paid by Flex, I do receive some of my tools for free, but I also am spending my own money and buying into this platform. These are truly my thoughts and opinions, i have not contract or obligation to say anything whatsoever.

Channels like yours have made me decide to buy the Flex turbo hammer drill. I’m just a DIYER, but I need a powerful drill on occasion. I also don’t need a bunch of tools, so the limited Flex lineup doesn’t bother me. I also don’t need to stick with one platform, so I actually have Ridgid tools for my automotive work because I found daily specials on the mid torque impact wrench and the 3/8 ratchet. I ended up getting the one with the stacked lithium battery after seeing so many videos about the standard lithium batteries leaking. I ended up spending more money, but I feel that the stacked lithium battery is superior.

Great review brotha. You brought up a very important point that people miss. You committed to using a new tool brand and that made you really appreciate things they do right. A lot of other people try Flex out and than just go back to their Dewalt, Makita or Milwaukee without really testing the tools. I have been absolutely digging my Flex tools and have put them through some serious torture on the job site.

I like flex's fan. That is dope. And the drill power cannot be denied. Wish they had a hydraulic impact that was quiet. I also like the stacked battery cells. Will be watching them closely into the future.

Legit review. No one brand to get it right but FLEX does it about 90% right (only based on what they haven't released yet). You said a lot of what I have to say, real-time usage, none of that micro second performance boost BS in fake situations, appreciate the weight and get stronger if you can't handle it (note to most people -> get stronger, and also train Jiu-Jitsu). Loved the rant, real talk. Best choice I made was to give up the Makita 18V and go with FLEX 24V. I probably said it before but let's see that compound miter! AND be the first to make the compact table saw.

Wow I have to say, you make such an important point: nobody cares about a speed contest. Reliability, durability, and function are of paramount import. I am annoyed by a saw reviewer here on KZfaq called "4thewin" who complained that he couldnt cut 4 triple stacked MDF sheets lengthwise as fast as possible with the Flex 24V right blade saw, because it got hot and did a thermal stop. Nobody buys a cordless saw intending to cut 30 feet of 2 1/4" thick MDF as fast as possible all at once without stopping. Every tool has a specific focus and for super heavy cutting you use a low RPM worm drive saw, not a much higher RPM right blade "sidewinder" saw. These unrealistic torture tests on KZfaq only measure outright maximum motor performance under totally unrealistic conditions where the person is trying to force the machine to stall. The Milwaukee #2732 doesn't overheat very easily but it doesn't cut straight, is severely misaligned from the factory due to poor quality control, and has a very notchy and unreliable safety trigger lock, as well as a horrendous loud motor whine.

Had my truck broken into and a lot of my tools stolen including a lot of my makita power tools taken. Have been using makita for 20 years as an hvac contractor. Made the switch to Flex. Couldn’t be happier with how they perform and feel in my hands. Glad I made the switch

You are my new favorite KZfaqr.. I am looking at picking up a few tools to add to my total set. I was looking at Ridgid, Ryobi, Bauer and Milwaukee, as well as Flex. After testing a Flex drill at Lowe's the other day and watching a few of your videos, I am considering selling off my Ryobi tools (Belt Sander, Sander, Oscillating Tool) and my Ridgid Drill and Impact Driver and putting that money toward the Flex suite of tools. A bit more research and consideration to do, but Flex has my attention, for sure. Thank you for your videos!

I just saw this post and completely agree with u. I am on the dewalt platform just simply due to their battery platform I just the other day bought the Flex hammer drill to try it and have to say I love the hard case love the drill love that it came with 2 batteries but when I opened the case I discovered that both batteries had a black goo substance on them I did see on line that their batteries do leak at times this goo but it's fine so I wiped them off processed to charge them and they both leaked on the charger so wiped them off again along with the charger and tried the drill like I said love the drill lots of power the turbo cut out fairly fast no big deal probably wouldn't use it much anyway I'm just disappointed with the batteries they kept leaking the goo

I love flex power tools Just brought two power tools. Now I am buying the entire flex power tools. And I will be buying other tool brands as well, but most of all my tools will be flex. I pray that flex build a flex 12 inch miter chop saw and a flex track saw.

I bought two Flex 24V circular saws and two Milwaukee #2732 cordless circular saws. Both Flex saws are perfectly aligned out of the box and have a parallel shoe, making perfect cuts. The Milwaukee saws are both 0.020" out of parallel between the blade and shoe plate, so they are useless for precision cuts using a long straight edge guide. The Flex motors are also very pleasant sounding, the Milwaukee sounds horrible with a sharp shrill gear whine and motor whine that hurts your ears.

I'm investing in flex iv only got a few things so far but I do have the flex quick eject impact and it's hands down the best impact on the market and I also own the Milwaukee fuel gen 3. Yes it might be a little heavier but it's all around better, faster, stronger

FLEX definitely is top for the tools they make. However….. they need to get other tools like press tools, pex expansion, right angle hole hawgs etc The basic tools are nice but it’s the compact and specialty tools that FLEX needs to get going on. I know you need to cover the basic tools to start a company but people like myself buy into a brand for the specialty tools “even though I have all the FLEX tools”

I am the biggest Ridgid fan boy but the truth be told this brand is not for the professional and Ridgid has no direction so when I painstakingly decided last year to jump ship I moved to Flex. I Moved over on a hunch, because they made and released a 12 amp hour battery, for what exactly? They've got to be into battery technology and there has to be big tools coming. It is a hard wait because I need several tools that is not in the line up yet like a 12" miter saw. I am really expecting quality and accuracy. I won't get their PACKOUT because I am now too deep in Milwaukee PACKOUT and Flex is starting without drawers.

I am starting to buy flex since I was coming off using a few old DeWalt and one fuel set. I really hoping they come out with a table or miter saw along with sanders. Love EGO for lawn and their parent company who also owns Flex has been great for support so far.

Any contractor has enough batteries not to worry about charge time. And contractors get paid by the job so the amount of time it takes a hammerdrill to bore through a triple joist with a 2inch forstner bit matters so much. You didn't even know the name of your SDS rotary hammer, so i actually think you're a paid actor. Lmfao.

Plenty contractors and experienced tradesmen don’t really know jack shit about their tools other than the job it does and how to use it. These guys also tend to be the most efficient. Of course hypothetically if you held all else constant putting a tool in their hand that’s x amount faster would result in increase productivity ON PAPER real world way different and much more going on. If you’re in the trades, like no shit really out there, you already know this though. So I can’t say that you’re wrong because technically you’re not, but you’re wrong and again you know why, and if you have to ask why then you’re not really out there

Thanks for the entertainment, funniest video I’ve seen in a while. So you received a bunch a Free Flex Tools and sold out because you can’t spend the money on the best cordless 60v line of tools, Dewalt. No professional framers use that crap line of fake tools and fake claims. By the way your , intro pic shows a massive amount of OSHA violations , men sitting on walls above 8 ft and on the top step of a ladder? A man with untethered tools on another ladder with no spotter? Osb sub floor ? Not advantec? You should focus on some safety protocols before hyping a Chinese company over American made tools.
@JonDawson

1. I have all dewalt flex volt tools. Have had them for years. 2. OSHA is for employees and commercial jobs. Not to keep tabs on a contractor working on his own home…they literally don’t apply to this situation whatsoever…private home and I’m a private citizen.. cool not that you got some education from a 30 year old… 3. I’m partnered with Huber wood and it is advantech subfloor with the adhesive…way to know the difference 😂 4. It’s funny how you knock on an American small business owner cuz of a few of his tools as if the tools being made in America is more important than an American business “myself and my company” But hey bro. I got nothing but love for you. Use the tools you enjoy and do what you got to do to get your dream. America proud 🇺🇸💪🏾
