Thanks for this video. I'm almost done with my BSN (2 more weeks) and am looking at getting my MSN in education. Your video was down to earth, genuine, and didn't feel like an ad for the university but a friend talking about her experience. I feel much more confident now about the Flexpath option. Congrats on your degree.

How long had it been since you had been in a classroom environment? Do you have to decide course length before the course starts or if you're having a rough week can you push your due date back? Thank you this sounds like a great program.

Thank you so much. I am currently trying to decide if the Flex Path is the right decision for me.

My pleasure! I think making that decision for yourself is important because you don't want to start a program that wouldn't be ideal for you. Thankfully they also have the GuidePath option also. You definitely have to be organized and self-motivated to get the assignments done, but also be okay with exploring the resources yourself to ensure you meet the competencies. I've leveraged the librarian via online chat, my tutor, and the library's resources a lot. I'm enjoying it, but could see how others would prefer the GuidePath format as well. It's nice there are options now instead of a one-size fits all method of higher education. #spon

Katie, how are things going. Are you still doing the 3 assessments per class. Would like to hear back??!!!

Hi Jackie! I AM DONE! I began in June of 2017 and completed the program in October of 2018, and will walk for commencement later this week! Each class is different - the first few classes required 3 assessments, but I had some that had as many as 6. I'd say they averaged 3-5 assessments per class, each with a varying degree of complexity.

How fast do they allow you to move?
@freshrn
@freshrn 5 жыл бұрын
They fastest they let you go is doing 2 classes at once; and the pace you turn in assignments is up to you. The assignments were complex and definitely took time. Getting one assessment per week was as much as I could handle with working full time concurrently. The fastest I went was towards the end when I needed to complete the degree before I had my second baby. I was enrolled in two classes at once, and while I was awaiting a grade on one assessment, I'd work on the other class. I believe I completed two classes in a month, and was working on assignments every day.

How long did it take you to complete the course?
@freshrn
@freshrn 6 жыл бұрын
It took me 3 total weeks to complete it! I did one assessment per week. I'm currently working on my second course and it will take me closer to 5 weeks. I allowed myself some extra time for this course because my family and I moved. It was really helpful to be able to adjust the target date when I needed to. After I submit this next assessment next week, I'll go back to 1 assessment per week.

How's it going now? Do you still like the program? I am thinking about signing up.

I'm sorry I am just seeing this comment! I am actually finished with the program now! It took me about 17 months to obtain my MSN in Nursing Education and was really happy with the program. It was doable, but also learned a lot and felt it was valuable. @@leroyhill5843

@@freshrn You stated you completed it in 17months, was it one course at a time or did you do more than one course?
