This will work for basically any german with a diverter valve, with the diverter you will have more flutter, if you go bigger and get a BOV its just gonna hiss at you, stick with a cheaper diverter valve like >50$ they don’t exactly have any performance gain, just makes you happier

Great vid man! I had to do mine the hard way because on the A6 you have to take the whole bumper off to reach the bolt on the diverter valve.

I own a 2013 s line A4, it’s a sweet car, be careful of maintenance I’ve had both bearings headlights and breaks and rotors done with only 131000km. But other then that it’s great

Hi, l bought the same BOV for my a4 2009 but is giving me an error code with no engine light P2261 l scanned the car with the ultimate OBDeleven and it says Turbo Boost Pressure Not Detected Mechanical should l get the old version DV+?????? mine is complete stock on has Turbo muffler delete and the BOV. It’s an atmospheric blow off valve meaning it sends the unused boost pressure into the atmosphere (those slots are what the pressure goes through to exit)

It’s not a spacer. It’s a blow off valve. And as mentioned in the video, all the info is in the description.

Curious to know if the diverter valve was plugged in? I have to same one and my doesn’t sound like that. It more of a blowoff valve sound.

Don’t know. I already took it off and went with a DV+ that doesn’t purge the air. I’m going to a stage 2 tune soon and that tune probably isn’t gonna like the air not recirculating back into the system. When I took it off, it was operating fine and I’ve seen other videos of the same blow off valve on audis and they sound like mine. There’s a wooosh sound but the Stututut sound kinda overpowers it.

Just putting bolt ons onto this car really wakes it up. You don’t need stage one anything. Intake/turbo inlet pipe are the main ones. Transmission insert mount/ go fast bits diverter valve and the turbo muffler delete and you feel a good gain.

I have Audi q5 2.0 tfsi and I hear the same sound from my turbo. It is OEM but I have made stage 1 in five months one of my pistons blow off. Than I decieded to remove the stage 1 remap. SInce few days I notice this whisle it's the same as yours but not so loud. So I''m worried is it a problem form the turbo or it is normal to hear this? Thank you!

The sound is not “bad”. It’s only bad if you are hearing it while your foot is still on the gas pedal. Cause that means you are making the car build up boost pressure to go into the cylinders but at the same time, the air is still flowing backwards to the turbo and that will shorten the life of the turbo. The noise is the air getting chopped up by the turbo since it’s air flowing against the correct spin of the turbo. My car makes the sound ONLY after I floor it and quickly get off the gas pedal. This is normal cause I’m quickly closing the throttle body and the boosted air has nowhere to go so it goes backwards to the turbo and the turbo chops up that air and makes the sound. When I’m driving or spirited driving…my car never makes the noise which means my turbo blades are spinning correctly with no air going in the opposite direction.

Can confirm i have a AUDI TT MK1 225 bought it second hand and came with a BOV. Have been reading codes saying "System too Rich" Figured it was the BOV because of what i had read and swapped to a R1 APR DV and its night and day difference tons of boost lost with the BOV. Personally Wouldn't get one if anyones thinking about it! Just my 2 cents im sure there are cars that run great with a BOV!

Hey quick question, I bought a ECS diverter valve spacer, do you think it would make the same sound as your blow off valve ? I also bought a CTS turbo muffler delete, but I think the one that makes the stututu sound is either the diverter valve spacer or blow off valve, the turbo muffler delete is more like a whoosh

@@samwh4775 the "stutututu" is turbo flutter and not blow off valve sound. It is however created by air not being able to go through the blow off valve because it is "closed" or the spring is too stiff. Sounds great, not so great for the turbo though.

If you want the most outta your car get an aftermarket intake, turbo muffler delete and a DV+ (go search for it. It’s basically a built up diverter valve. I switched to it).

Hey there, no you can not put these 2 in your b8.5 S4 because you have supercharger car instead of turbo, these 2 only work with turbo cars and not superchargers cars

The spacer is what acts as the blow off valve. Air vented to atmosphere instead of being recirculated. Muffler delete is not necessary

Wondering a few things. If you wanted turbo sounds why not upgrade the intake? After market BOVs on stock setups can actually hurt performance and your maf sensor could make you run rich. Wondering if you’ve experienced any issues with them?

Fun fact: although on certain applications where neither a PRV or pressure relief valve or a BOV is present If your car is already equipped with a Pressure Relief Valve then putting a Blow Off Valve onto it instead will actually damage your turbo more than keeping it original with the PRV. It’s a cool mod and it sounds great just not always necessary 😅

You're already stage 1 you should really get a cold air intake and for the dv valve..try the gfb dv+ you won't regret it 🙂 but the car looks really great ..keep up the sick work 💪

The a4 isn't designed to have a bov on it. Don't worry about it if it's not effecting performance

I would say go watch my intake video and do that mod first. It’s easier to do and should give you good sound. Turbo muffler doesn’t have that much sound. Blow off valve will give sound but depending on your car…it might not be that loud.

I have the same exact car. Got one off ecs tuning for like 80$. Honestly sounds super good. It doesnt produce the stututu sound that you hear. I believe you need to muffler delete the turbo to produce that sound but you can hear the air exiting the turbo when you let off the gas

Won’t harm it if you install it properly. But also a huge factor is how well has your car been taken care of. I say this because a lot of people have cars they’ve neglected with getting a proper tune up…then they slap on mods…drive their car super hard to feel the mods and then all of a sudden there’s an issue and they blame the mods. An issue that’s usually not the mods fault but the poor maintenance. A car is only as good as it’s weakest point. The turbo flutter sound is actually not that loud as in the video. My camera just enhanced it. And it doesn’t sound like that when I’m driving. Only when I get off the gas quickly after flooring it. (A style that’s not really the typical driving method). To get more sound outta the engine…an aftermarket open filter intake is necessary and a blow off valve. A turbo muffler delete isn’t really required.

I have a A5 Sportback 2021. Just got it brand new. Will this void my warranty if I did something like this ?

Any aftermarket mods to the engine will void the warranty. Dealers are not gonna be held responsible for repairing your car for free if something happens from installing unapproved parts.

Hey I have a question, you have the IE stage 2 tune in the car right ? Because I’ve seen people saying that after the tune the car still revs up to 4,000rpms which is really annoying and yours revs higher and I’m interested on getting that rev limiter off

@@TheFlexxGarage oh ok, but that allows you to rev the car over 4,000rpms while you’re in park ? Because my car only revs up to 4,000pms and is very annoying, I want it at around 6,500rpms

You don't really want to be redlining in park with no load on the engine. Too easy to over rev. Maybe to 5.5, it's there for a reason. But i get what you mean

hey man so i did this same thing but with a forge spacer. it didn’t come with a new plunger or spring. instead of going pstututu it just realeses a single hiss of air :/

Sorry but spacers are the last thing I would put on my cars. I would take it off and get an intake or a BOV for noise.

@@TheFlexxGarage well i know it’s not hurting anything, just venting excess air. doesn’t gain or lose performance, just makes noise. i ordered a IE intake, maybe that will liven it up

I just watched this video and you make it seem very easy. But that's just me with no experience talking, I have a new Veloster 2020 Turbo, and I'm looking to get that louder turbo with a bit of flutter. I've scoured the internet but I don't know what I'm even looking for exactly.

get a intake the turbo muffler delete and a turbo inlet pipe. no need for the blow off valve then. to reference this look up cts turbo intake with turbo muffler delete on youtube. has a mean sound to it
