May we politely suggest the following de-escalation for remedy? THE TRUST IS COLLAPSED....in other words, your company is no longer granting them any more credit. If the policeman is not lawfully investigating the crime on behalf of the male/female victim and is entering YOUR company jurisdiction without you summonsing them, then would it not be advisable to be politely placing YOUR public-servants/trustees under your notification that your company is charging $707 per hour/part-there-of for YOUR company time and also $717 for YOUR company performance?....and that any further communicating (verbal) and/ or corresponding (written) with your company, is with them accepting the terms & conditions of the commercial contract IN THE PRIVATE (the cop and their CHIEF and their POLICE UNION is now with PERSONAL liability.... because Notice-to-Agent-is-Notice-to-Principal....and also through JOINDER....and they also lose their qualified immunity) This way, you are NOT resisting/refusing to obey/comply with their orders/demands/policy /questions, but instead, you are now willing to perform WITH THE CONDITION that payment is with your company immediately, because you have NO CONFIDENCE with them administrating YOUR company trust! THE PUBLIC TRUST IS COLLAPSED...Why is YOUR company issuing them extra credit! Are YOU not the executor and the beneficiary of YOUR trust?...making them the trustees, whom are with their fiduciary obligation and duty-of-care to be NOT causing you injury nor damage nor loss nor harm. Is THEIR job YOUR job? Is THEIR company policy YOUR company policy? not unless and until they are PAYING for your company time & performance THE CONSTRUCTIVE TRUST IS COLLAPSED...YOUR company is no longer performing free-of-charge! You may be willing to pursue the matter through the small-claims-court and/or through arbitration which is held in-the-private because PUBLIC court is only for the PUBLIC servant. YOUR TRUST FUND IS NOW WITH RESTORATION....YOUR company is now making money from every encounter with YOUR public-servants because the days of doing something with your trustees for free are over. @infoPeace infoPiece That's the way most criminals think. In reality most are decent folk just making a living and trying to make it home at the end of the day. Criminals are overexposed to dirty cops for obvious reasons. Criminals are easy prey. Courts are far less likely to believe criminals. Criminals are far less likely to report a crime even when perpetrated by police. Criminals usually have drugs that dirty cops can steal. Criminals usually have dirty money that dirty cops can steal. The most obvious reason why criminals deal with dirty cops more than anyone else is that cops usually aren't anywhere around unless called upon. The places that have the most police presence are typically places that have the most crime and criminal presence. And we're not going to act like all dirty cops are dirty for their own benefit. There are cops out there who might plant drugs on a known domestic abuser to get him kicked up because they've been called by neighbors to the same house 15 - 20 - 30 times and they've consistently seen a women with black eyes and terrified children but the women refuses to ever tell them that her man has been beating her and sleeping with her daughters. Until her 14 year old is pregnant by the mom's stay at home boyfriend or the mother is killed or the 3 month old gets beaten to death because he wouldn't stop crying. It's usually criminals that paint police with that broad brush and tell the lie that most are dirty. They would think that when they're always on the opposite side of the law. They may even start to believe it if they stay a criminal long enough.

I was in a speeding car when my friends and I got pulled over. Honestly, my friend, who is a law student, knew our rights. He always reminds us that cops are NOT "your friend." A cop's job is to prosecute you. Simple as that. That's their job. They try to get you to talk to incriminate you. Never admit ANYTHING (even if you know you were in the wrong). You give up your rights when you talk. If you get pulled over, keep your mouth shut and don't say anything unncessary.

If you're interested in donating, don't think about whether other people donate. That's not important. Every time *you* donate, you are a part of what makes the education of citizens possible. Wether you did something illegal is irrelevant. These rights are there to protect you. Believe it or not it is easy to implicate yourself unknowingly just by simply talking to law enforcement personnel. Our forefathers knew that and that is how the bill of rights was created. The British was a tyrannical government and if you think that the United States is not capable of being an oppressive and tyrannical government think again. The patriot act is a good example of our rights being slowly diminished by the government. No search warrant if it is terrorist related or national security issues. That is a very broad statement.
@bugsy1028
@bugsy1028 10 жыл бұрын
In addition. You should feel safe and secure in your home this includes your thoughts. Your thoughts are your personal property. They could be as illegal or unethical as they can be but no one has the right to pry out what you are thinking. As long as you do not act out anything that is against the law , your thoughts are yours alone. It is not being disrespectful or being uncooperative to law enforcement personnel, you are just playing it safe. Besides, if you already in trouble you do not need to get in more trouble. Remember anything you say can be used against you. The downside, anything you say cannot help you in any way shape or form. So...just shut up and let the lawyers do the talking.

I had a bus stop encounter with 2 undercover cops..they tried to play the whole “we know you what are you doing here” game..at first they never identified themselves as police...I told them kick rocks I don’t know who you are.. the driver flashed his badge and I asked him if I was supposed to be scared or impressed..he kept telling me he has dealt with me before, which was funny because I’ve never been arrested nor gotten any tickets...my bus pulled up and I just walked away.. they knew I wasn’t falling for their bullshit..I don’t suggest anyone do that though because I know I would have gotten off on any charges because I have friends and family that are police and court officers

Friends don't let friends get busted. Friends get the Busted video and show it to their friends. I purchased this video, showed it to my friends. They borrowed it, showed it to their friends. One of my friends had teens and they threw a Busted party for their friends. I have a friend who got pulled over. Since he saw the Busted video many times (watched it himself, watched it with adult friends, watched it with his teens), he knew exactly what to do. (My friend definitely looks like a Brooklyn hipster, very much 420 even though he's not into that.) By following the instructions, the cop knew that my friend was safe, that he wasn't going anywhere and that he knew his rights. My friend got a warning. Pro tip: Know what someone can see when you open the front door or back door to your apartment or house. Hang a privacy curtain, set-up a room divider or screen so that people can't easily peek inside when you open the door--especially important when you've got a Visitor wearing Blue (or Gray, or Tan...) A neighbor called the cops on me. It was clearly harassment. The fools who were harassing me discussed calling the cops within earshot of me. I kept my cool and went into my apartment. I kept the window open, so I could hear what was going on outside. Since I knew that I was going to have a Visitor wearing Blue, I closed the doors to the bedroom and bathroom and pulled my privacy curtain. If I didn't have that privacy curtain, you could see into my living room when I opened up the front door. I got the idea to put-up a privacy curtain from a friend whose apartment had a similar layout to mine. So, when the cop knocked on my door and I opened up, there was nothing to see. (To the best of my knowledge, I don't have something that I shouldn't have. However, the ops are the cops. I had a cordial encounter with the police. The cop told me what to do about the harassing neighbor, and it worked. My neighbor stopped harassing me.

I am right at 60 years of age and have worked "very close to" law enforcement all my life; in my job and through family members involvement. I used to automatically love, respect and admire ALL cops just because they were cops. However, over the past 20 to 30 years, I/we ALL have seen such a huge and rapid decline in the behavior of cops that it clearly shows systemic problems. And IF a cop gets reprimanded at all, they're given TWO WEEKS OFF WITH PAY AND BENEFITS? You gotta be kidding!

The last four encounters I had with police. They either crumpled my ticket up then threw it on the ground. Or they wrote it out and didn't include the information to follow through on it. One time I helped my friend out who was being detained for vandalism (I just came and walked into the scene stating I was with him the whole time). They hand cuffed us, crumpled up the ticket. Threw it on the ground (in a mall at night). Then escourted each of us to separate exits and locked the mall up. I had no idea what was happening and I wasn't even able to pay the ticket until it was "public record". By then it turned into a warrant and I had to pay way more money and I'm not even sure if it's off my record. Then this other cop gave me a speeding ticket that mutliplied into 2 fee's some how. Now I owe $1300.00 for two speeding tickets I'm still paying off and I was picked out of a group of cars, where I was the one who got the speeding ticket. By the time I found out how to pay them off, the court already processed the issue and sent me to collections. I'm lucky my credit rating was pretty good or else I'd be s o l. Thanks for posting this great video. Remember, even if you know your rights, knowing your rights makes them more up set and prone to do things like the above I mentioned.

This should be updated for 2021 and played in every classroom, before every prime time television show, and blasted on social media, but it needs to begin with what to do when police arrest/approach someone...no matter what you do - show your empty hands and don’t resist arrest. Perhaps if people were taught to stop resisting arrest police wouldn’t be convicted of murder for trying to detain a non compliant suspect. Everyone will be safer if common sense approaches to life are taught.
