Flight Planning with LittleNavMap, flying the Cessna 172 in X-Plane, and NOT doing Pre-Flight Checks

This video is an overview of setting up LittleNavMap, plotting a flight plan, and flying the plan (using X-Plane 11.5 in this case with the stock Cessna 172). This video is also a really good example of what happens when you don't do pre-flight checks, and when you're so busy explaining something that you don't notice the autopilot has disengaged, and you're plummeting towards the ground.

CDI button on the garmin needs to be switched to GPS mode. Not VLOC. The radios are just the radios. Great vid! Very helpfull. Thanks!

For all there were a few things that could've turned out better I still learned loads and think all of your videos are very informative. Just what I needed to get more into flight planning. And whenever you say "does that make sense?" I'm invariably nodding and giving a thumbs-up.

😀 Wasn't trying to be harsh! I've watched your videos on the gs530/420 and they were very helpful. In this one, the aircraft got ahead of you, making it a difficult situation. I WILL be watching future videos of yours that are topics of interest to me. Things like RNAV and ILS autopilot approaches in the steam gauge Skyhawk......

You might want to review your vids before posting.... 1. Takeoff flaps during entire flight 2. Autopilot on, but neither HDG nor NAV nice selected (no wonder you had to fly by hand). 3. VS mode engaged and went past your target by 1000 feet as you had no altitude set. You can do better!!!! 😁

I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I have had similar issues to the one's you faced which as a novice isn't ideal because you thinks it's just you. Watching this has given me greater confidence & I'll be following you for more tips. I'm starting to use Little Navmap & look forward to se future content from you. Pleas don't give this up, you're a lifeline for newcomers to flight Sim like me.

Thank you for these LittleNavMap videos. As a newcomer to flight sims this year (with X-Plane), I've been a little lost (excuse the pun) with flight planning. Your tutorials and LNM have helped immensely. Now subscribed and looking forward to more LNM, X-Plane, flight plan and hopefully some autopilot/fmc guides.

The magnetic compass shows your Heading ii.e. direction the airplane is pointed, whereas track (displayed on the Garmin) is the actual direction of the airplane tracking across the ground due to the effects of the wind.

On a comps you got dots the small one (- )and the big big( _ ) the small one is representing the 5th and the big one is representing the 10th i am clear 😊

Please, what causes the XP12 to make the Cessna /not only it/ turn left on take off? You can't keep it straight and therefore not even fly.

Is there a certain order to put your flight plan in like departure, arrival, approach and then destination? When I put these flight plans in everything is fine until I put arrival and approach in then it has me flying all over the place. I've been putting them in departure, destination, arrival and approach. Thanks
