Flightline is a promising horse, sure, but he has a LONG way to go before anyone can even legitimately argue that he's up there with the greatest of the last quarter century. I doubt he will ever be considered up there with the greatest of the greats, however... He is one of the most unsound horses I've seen in recent years, at no fault of his own of course, but this obvious fact is what I feel will prevent him from reaching his full potential. He likely has a small handful of races left before he's prematurely retired to the shed to produce hundreds upon hundreds of other unsound horses that will probably suffer the same complications as their sire...Because that's just how the U.S. is with our breeding of thoroughbred dirt horses. Soundness is no longer an important trait within this country's breeding industry, unfortunately. ...And don't even get me started on our breeding and training of turf horses. 🤦🏻‍♀️ All I will say is to just take a look at our beloved Golden Pal. He's distinguished over here but might as well be a donkey wearing racing silks whenever he travels overseas.

Exactly the the aussie ain't scared to come to royal ascot why is it only sprinters from wesley ward only come over. Why not there top 4 year olds mile, and mile and a half horses should try. So you're say a horse that, essentially so far an 8 furlong horse has to beat a 10 furlong horse to be considered the best? Flightline might run in the BCC. His bloodline says 10F is not an issue whatsoever, but there must be a reason his connections have had him running at 8F or less through age 4. Flightline's race trajectory and path reminds me so much of Ghostzapper.

Your both wrong ,Speakers Corner is a fine sprinter and capable of winning stakes races maybe at Grade 2 or 3 . Flightline is not overrated he just keeps winning and keeps stretching out .
