I prefer percussion B.P. pistols. Unfortunately, high quality percussion pistols are expensive. Off brand junk is not, but if you shoot regularly, they wear out fast because of low quality steel.

@@johnklatt3522 well I'm talking about for that time I think the other one might have had less velocity that actually killed Lincoln but in all honesty it wasn't much of a difference in energy deliverance is what I mean I mean cap and ball wheel lock or match lock regardless of the type the power and ball are pretty much the same unless they use the slightly more modern version where it's the shape of a bullet but it still just a lead projectile stuff down the barrel

rifled weapons were invented in the 16th century, but due to the high cost and complexity of loading, they were not used in line infantry. It was usually used by sharpshooters and rangers
