He could swing it round corners Harmy had the pace and bounce,Flintoff bowled with pace and power a very heavy ball hard to get away and Shaggy Hoggard was accurate with a bit of swing. Then you had Ashley Giles at his peak getting wickets at key times. Great series.

FRoT LeET this series is shaping up to be great and stokes innings will go down In legend for sure but this series for two generations meant something special All we had known was having some good result against others then come the ashes getting walloped by the Aussies, suffering humiliation, shocking batting collapses and them putting us in our places!! Yet this series we came into it looking good and showed it against a almost invincible Aussie team that was one of the greatest test teams of all time.... it just meant something special and caught the imagination of the whole country and cricket was THE number one sport that summer!! This broke the hoodoo and gave us hope that we was good enough to compete with the Aussies

Every cricket fan was following this series as they wanted to someone to defeat this incredible Australian side. And England played like possessed demons and gave everything they got. One of the best Test series’ ever.

Man, that 2003 final scarred me for life with those 1 handed Ponting sixes. I was a 13 yr old kid at the time. I hated Ponting for that but started to love his batting eventually. Aussies weren't cheaters....just ruthless when at their peak.
