This is a cute wreath. I love the colors you chose, but the most creative idea was using the place mat on the back - so ingenious!

You did a great job. A little taste of summer. We dont call them flipflops here, we call them thongs. Apparently that could be another item of apparel you would nt have as a wreath on your front door :)

I made a flip flop wreath and decided to put in on the outside of my front door. It lasted about 1 day. I opened the door and all but 3 flip flops had come off the wreath. I used hot glue and a white Styrofoam wreath. Any suggestions as to why the glue didn't keep them on the wreath? Could it be the glue, hot weather? BTW, your wreath turned out very cute.

Hmmmm......I'm not sure, but if it got hot enough it probably loosened the glue and the flip-flops fell off. I think it would have to be pretty hot though. Maybe use more glue?

It was too hot. Use E-6000 glue instead.

Yes, definitely need a better adhesive. Dollar Tree also has a tube of adhesive that works very well.

The only problem is that when using the adhesive, you have to let it dry in between - company recommends drying over night.
