Honestly, I didn't watch soccer before the world cup, but there is nothing I want more than the US to win. The whole cup didn't just make me want to be as patriotic as possible, but it made me wonder what I can do for this country. These men are doing every possible thing they could do to win the world cup and they are doing it all for us, the US citizens. God bless the USMNT and everyone else.

As a football-loving Brit who's already seen England crash out I'll still eagerly be watching Belgium v USA today - make no mistake, Belgium will be a tough encounter for the US, they have some fantastic players including Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku however they'll also have the pressure on them being favourites. Anyway it's great to see so many of you Americans embracing the FIFA World Cup when it's not a major sport in the States - best of luck to you guys on the other side of the pond!

I'm not an American but as far as i watched them played since France 98 i started to believe that they're into a road of greatness. They're in good hands. Keep Klinsmann he's one of the most respected Coach i've seen and what he did with his country's team last WC was amazing. I toughens up the team and make them play like a bunch of brave men in the battlefield. I'm hoping to see him in 2018 where the USA team will have a more mature gaming mentality and will rise from where they left (top 16) and beyond. and btw, Tim Howard deserves a medal, he fought well to defend the line like a country's last line of defense against the Belgium's brute force. But in the end to me the coach is more valuable than a player and a one organized team make things happen not just Tim or anyone else because they need each other and for us fans we need to believe in them. so today at my summer camp i volunteer at, my friend made everyone on the bus to do the, 'I believe chant" in the middle of Manhattan (NYC). My teacher took a video and was like," I want the whole island of Manhattan to hear you, say it LOUDER" And of course you got people smiling

Soccer in the USA is amazing to watch as we don't dominate. It's a big deal even for a person like myself who's not an avid soccer fan to see the team, a group of kids make it to the world stage and gain some respect. This is the American Dream for me and i'm sure for the players of USA!

I'm from Europe but i cheer all the way from groups till today for USA,they grow up in this sport and it's a good thing! i also like the way they play is more fun to watch than any europe team when they score once they defend the whole game and boring to watch,i will cheer for USA again in russia WC 4 years from now.

As well as 4 years ago USA made one of the most amazing matches in this world cup, as well they lose but they fight till the end. And Tim Howard was awesome.

Football has grown a lot in the USA in the last 10 years, the MLS had a constant increase in this decade. I bet in 20-30 years the USA will win his first world cup. The americans know how to invest in sport, if football becomes popular, USA will have a competitive national team.

actually really happy that the US are doing well. Hope they have a good run! We in England could learn an awful lot from their youth system at grass roots level. Did a lot of coaching in CA and unfortunately historically it's been the case that kids play football (soccer) when they're young, then end up switching to American Football as soon as they are physically big enough to compete. I think this has been changing in the last decade or so and we are seeing the benefits
