Why do things flip around, or look bigger or smaller, when looked through a glass of water. Well, the water is actually slowing down the speed of light! AND the round glass is working like a lens, like the kind used in telescopes or glasses.
Check out this flipping arrow experiment as an introduction to optics for kids. It all has to do with refraction.
Check out Phil from Science Max's other awesome science for kids on this channel and the main science max channel.
