The part where you're pretending to be the actor instantly reminded me of that hilarious SR3 missions where you're disguised as Cyrus Temple. I absolutely loved that mission and I loved how Cyrus's voice actor recorded different lines for the various Boss voices.

It’s so sad to see what has happened to this series. I had my issues with 3 & 4 but at the end of the day they weren’t bad games and I still knew that if I wanted to play the latest saints row I was going to have a fun time. I don’t know how they managed to make saints row boring because they figured out how to make a fun and chaotic world to play around with in the first game.

That RPG larper thing mixed with the bullet sponge enemies reeks massive Gearbox energy. No wonder Randy Pitchford bought them out. It’s really depressing to think that the patch to fix Saints Row 2 on PC probably got canceled. I’d rather be playing that, and I’m sure others would be too.

SR2 is the apex of complete environmental design and performance. Stilwater doesn't just exist; it lives and breathes around your character.

Saints Row 1 was a burger from the grill. A bit rough, not exactly like what you would get at a restaurant, but still worth the time and effort SR2 was a gourmet burger you grabbed from your local shop. Much better than what you were expecting, with enough obvious love and care put in that is makes you a fan SR3 was a Wendies burger. Pretty junky, not too much substance or nutrients, but you still enjoy it for the heck of it. SR4 was a gimmick burger sold by a fast food chain. They sell you on the idea, and while the execution is overall sloppy and underwhelming, you can still acknowledge that they *tried* The Reboot is like the imitation shit they sold as Krabby Patties in that one episode of SpongeBob. It says it’s similar, it pretends to be what it says well enough on the box, but bite into it and all you get is disgusting grey corporate slop that was quick and cheap to produce with no heart or soul or passion.

The pedestrians were the best parts of saints row especially in SR2 since they felt like actually people like we have legit old ppl on walkers. The characters had different styles and skated through the suburbs, downtown, and campus. The college campus was the best part too it made the city feel whole. And who can forget freckle bitches?

The amount of times Reboot Boss gets tossed around and his ass whooped is so pathetic, it visually hurts. Original Boss would kill everyone and either leave nothing in their wake or take everything for themselves. The only time Original Boss genuinely lost was when political parties and government power became personally involved in taking you down, which is why he got blown up on the boat.
