Renowned angler, John Wilson, takes his coarse fishing skills to the lakes of Thailand and gets massive results! Learn how to adapt light tackle coarse fishing techniques to catch monster fish!
John reveals how traditional float fishing methods for bream, European carp, and roach etc. can be upscaled and applied to successfully catch monster fish in the lakes of Thailand.
The trophy fish for many anglers visiting Thailand is the Siamese Carp, and in this video, John Wilson shows us how to hook and fight them without even leaving his chair!

Love the way JW casually describes his tackle. "Size 13 thailand hook. That's about 6 or 8 in the UK. 2 small shot and twelve foot away from the hook is a small insert waggler. Oh! And FIFTY POUND BRAID!" You just know something BIG is going to happen :-))... RIP JW. You've passed down so much fishing and natural history knowledge to so many millions of anglers, both young and old alike. What a dream of a lake too :-))...

How refreshing rather than most fisherman nowadays just lumping out a bait and doing nothing else. Don't even have to the hook the fish and then just bully them into the net. Also with this type of fishing you get the initial burst once fish is hooked, bite alarm brigade never get that.
