I have a crack float fishing for mullet with Sam Pitcher. If you follow my vlogs, you'll know they have so far got the better of me, despite my best efforts on previous trips. They are my nemesis and I seem to be cursed. So given the chance to go fishing at Weymouth Harbour was too good to miss - even while the mayfly are coming off the rivers in their thousands. So armed with my commercial coarse fishing float rod, I head South to see if I can finally catch myself a decent thick lipped mullet on bread flake. I've caught plenty of thin lipped mullet on baited spinners before, but it's been 20 years or so, since I last caught a thick lipped mullet on bread
