If you use the Auto Align feature between the layers, it will not only align, but modify the perspective so your two layers in instances like this, should match up perfectly.

best tutorial/hangout session vlog ive ever been on. You do an awesome job. Its entertaining, gets to the point from start->finish, its not classroom whiteboard videos, it has b roll footage thrown in at parts, and a glimps into your day. Youve figured it out.

I love your videos Peter! The way you teach new skills and processes is amazing! You don't do it like everyone else in KZfaq by sitting in front of a computer with captive open burning through photoshop. This is a process I use all the time for my interior photo shoots, pen tool to outline and edit out signs and etc. and I have never done a floating shoot before. I always watch your videos for new tricks and tips. BRAVO!

This is pretty cool and something I’d love to figure out how to add into my Instagram. Maybe not me floating, but maybe a project. I use my iPhone 8+ for a lot of photos. I wonder how well or convincing I could be using that. Anyone have thoughts on that?

I first learned this technique as a kid fascinated with lego stopmotions. I wanted to learn how to make the figures jump and discovered this technique. Only had a dsi camera at the time which wasnt the best do to its folding hinge, but I found a way to make it work. It wasnt good at all, but it was fun to attempt.

Sad story. Got inspired with video video, went out to shoot and try out this today. There was too much wind and my camera felt down on the lens. Now my lens is broken i dont have the pictures

For the second method, there's a really useful tool in Photoshop under the "Edit" tab called "Auto Align Layer" so you don't have to manually drag them into place. It also warps your image to match the images on a pixel perfect level.
