Let´s not forget her predecessor,- Nightwish´original singer the classical soprano Tarja Turunen. Floor has had classical training and can sing in a classical lieder style,- Tarja was a through and through classical opera singer and can sing actual Bel Canto,- there is a difference.

@@ulfdanielsen6009 Tarja is a classical crossover singer and she never sang opera. She herself pointed out numerous times that opera is too demanding for her.

Also, Therion and epica are one of the metal bands that helped the symphonic (opera singing) metal genre alive

She is truly a one of a kind person. The more I learn about her the more awesome her story is. How many people can be in a heavy metal band and sing opera flawlessly. How many people can sing recorded albums and sing them live even better? The short answer is not many, she is one of a kind.

I noticed that right away too - and love it. My thought though was the little girl is thinking "Oh yeah. That's me in 15 years!"

I wasn't sure if we was comparing the screen to Floor or looking around the screen about all the flames, skulls and lights.

If that is the same outfit she wore during the Showtime, Storytime concert it was coming undone at one point around her chest. (And no I wasn't staring at her boobs, I'm just observant like that.) I guess the outfit couldn't contain her awesomeness lol. I kept hoping a crew/band member would notice and discreetly try and do it up for her before she popped out completely. While I don't think any of us would have minded it would of been embarrassing for her.

Yes and no. That first line album is amazing, and showed what they're capable of. Endless Forms is highly boring, and flat. I'll take any After Forever or Revamp album over it.

Her version of "Ghost Love Score" at Waken 2013....I can't even describe how it made me feel. I always knew she could sing but that performance just blew me away! O.O

Yes I am now confident there is nothing she can't sing. When i 1st heard her voice I heard "Here's my hell" 6 months ago and I thought while she was pretty good I didn't think she had much range...boy was I in for a surprise. It was then I heard her sing this, "Ghost love score," "Alone," "Monolith of doubt," and I absolutely shat myself when she pulled out the death metal growls on "Wild card." I thought she was freaking possessed! O.o

Who on God's green earth hate Floor Jansen? Even Tarja and her and friends. Floor is Love. Floor is Life. :-)

Okay, one month later: yes unfortunately there is a civil war among Nightwish fans. And most fans active in KZfaq at the moment seem to be Floor's fans, and unfortunately I have to say they are very toxic and belittling towards Tarja and Anette. Zealous Floor fans at the moment are the worst thing in the Nightwish fandom.

How can anyone think she is inferior ? Different, yes, more in a rock style performance with Nightwish if you compare to Tarja. But the term "inferior" is zillion light years away from Floor.

@@Aurinkohirvi Well, this is in a way understandable. Tarja is unique, and gave the band it's original touch, and Anette.... is Anette. But Floor comes in like a genie out of a bottle, saves the day, and gives band a whole new dimension, which will last. The Wacken 2013 live is a good illustration of this. She put Ghost Love Score at a level of artistry which is eerie. Not to mention the way she deals with the rest of the repertoire, and her on-stage presence. So people are completely bewitched, and therefor irrational in their criticism of Tarja, which will remain legendary. Vintage Nightwish ages well. But right, now, as far as the stage performances are concerned, they are on another planet.

She did some amazing operatic parts on Wacken 2013/Tampere 2015 you should know what she can do. ;-)

Believe it or not, but there are more metal bands per capita on Finland than on any other country. The country, that holds the second place is Sweden with only half of what we have in Finland! And every Finnish band that has been successful outside Finland has either been a hard rock or metal band!

Metal is a lot more mainstream in Europe altogether. Genres like country, rap/hip hop, and pop are a lot bigger in America but relatively nonexistent elsewhere. Of course, pop is big in Korea and Britain, but not too many other places.

Silas Newman the set list said a different thing, but I'm glad. I'm seeing them live this October, so I hope they do those songs when I see them.
