You are so talented and inspiring. I’m new at watercolors and really enjoy watching the process of how you experiment with colors and then zen doodle on top. You make it look so easy, but I have much to learn. I tend to overwork rather than add enough water and right combination of colors and let them mingle to avoid making mud. So your video’s are quite helpful to me and your relaxed style is calming. Thank you for sharing your talent and art.

That is quite wonderful. It would be a lot of work for me as with painful/tiring hand/arm issues. As a newbie I didn't think I'd ever like abstract but I do and it all depends....veerry I'm picky about style and colors LOL. I'd like to try to learn small but impactful ones. Thanks for sharing this lovely one.

@@juliajones9768 not even a beautiful flowery one? I get it, they are not for everyone, and not everything I create will be for everyone. But my hope is that my viewers won't stifle my creative process, just because they don't particularly love a piece. And negative comments do leave an impact on me, whether I like it or not. I'm only human after all... Also, it's ok to not watch a video, if you don't like it 😊 That's why I always show the final piece in the thumbnail.

Bettina, this is gorgeous! So bright and airy! For thin lines, I use a rigger brush. If you don’t want to purchase a new brush, and you have an old long round brush, you could cut the majority of the bristles until you have just a small amount.

Thank you for explaining about your colored pencils. Today's colors are so vibrant and so beautiful. I just recently bought 3 tubes of Daniel Smith and enjoyed swatching them: Quinacridone Magenta, Phthalo Blue (green shade), and Rose of Ultramarine. I have a set of Cottman and a few tubes of Winsor and Newton. If you had noticed the skull shape sooner, what do you think you would have done differently? How would that have changed your doodles? Do you think you would have been inspired by some of the decorations for la dia de la meurte?

Interesting technique. Ive been thinking about doing some backgrounds with this technique, though a little more muted. But I have a question. I’ve always wondered why watercolor artist put spatters on so many paintings. I’ve looked and haven’t found this used on any other medium. What is the spattering supposed to accomplish?

I can only speak for myself, as far as the splatters go. I like having some extra "texture" which helps me focus on the doodles a bit more. If you watch any of my more recent (within the past year) videos, you will see what I mean. You might need to ask around a bit more with watercolor artists that are more professional. I'm just a novice doing my own thing over here 😆

So I have an Android and I'm not sure if it's the same for the iPhone. But if you are subscribed to my channel, next to the "subscribed" button there should now be a "join" button. If you click that, it should take you to the members page. If that doesn't show, you might need to try on a computer. It's so weird, and I don't know why it's not showing on all the devices. But I'm thinking maybe it's because memberships are still new to KZfaq. Let me know if you have any luck this way, and thank you for considering 🫶🏻

🤔 I'm not sure. At this point, I'm out of ideas. I can see it on my iPad and Mac computer. I don't have an iPhone, so if that's the only device you have, I'm not sure how to help you. Are you subscribed to my channel? If you're not, then the join button doesn't show up. Check that and see if that'll do it.

No worries, Ruth. On my KZfaq channel page under the banner and my photo, there are buttons that say "Home" "Videos" "Shorts" and so on. One of them says "Community" and that one will bring you to the community page. I hope this helps.
