He'll be lucky to finish in the top 10 at the Derby...in fact, Jose Ortiz may be looking at other horses to ride on Derby day. Greatest Honour doesn't have the Gate speed to get in position. And with a 20 horse field he'll be getting bumped around. He's a loser!

What's so great? If you bet him in every race you lose, his average win mutual is $6.80, he's on the ML favorite or 2nd choice in every race! The horse makes the jock!

Known Agenda........blinkers made all the difference; 5 distance races experience; 101 last race against the rail; made huge final turn move to the outside; increased the lead down the stretch; improved times at GP over prior race =4w;brsh3/16;drv to1/16; decent price with Todd Pletcher & OrtizIJ !

Collmus contracted to do TC and BC for NBC. The track announcer at Gulfstream does a good job, IMHO.

Irad " the killer" ortiz, no need to strike 12 times to a horse that much, is better if he push his ride with his hands, he use the whip to bring the horse, is a good jockey but he need to be more intelligent...

Not a bump. If anything Soup and Sandwich wandered into his path a bit. You can see Irad pulling him away as soon as they got side by side.

Greatest Honour is this year's Honor AP...you get wooed by his pedigree and running style thinking he will romp at 10F, but bottom line is he's just too slow on the figs to hang once they jump up to real class.

@@leobowman8149 Maybe, maybe not. But that's the problem with horses like Greatest Honour and Honor AP, they need a great trip to win. You saw that yesterday, he didn't get a clear run at the top of the stretch and he had no chance. And in a 20 horse field on Derby Day the odds you get a clean trip are slim.

honor ap literally beat authentic in the santa anita derby. and he came out of the derby with an injury and still finished 4th.

Irad really had his hands full with this colt he was all over the track and still won fairly easy,+ he ran wide most the race,Known Agenda will be flying down stretch in the KD .

This was ONE OF THE LOUSIEST RIDES I HAVE EVER SEEN BY JOSE ORTIZ...WHAT? DID HE WANT HIS BROTHER'S HORSE TO WIN? HE put G. Honour on the rail, 10th of the 11. Then ALLOWED his horse to be boxed in...LOUSY JOCKEYING!!

Most of the comments here regarding Greatest Honor 'doing what he had to' and even more funny 'will lead to a better price in Kentucky' are hilarious . You people are delusional Greatest Honour’s lack of speed makes the strategy options LIMITED. . He cannot get into a stalker role as he lacks the proper cruising speed and is easy DISCOURAGED when he gets dirt or is in traffic. He also has never won beyond 1 1/16 and this race shows him to be a huge sucker bet for the Derby as he needs a PERFECT TRIP when he wins. Soup and Sandwich refused to switch leads and still ran a huge race and beat Greatest Honor, however, this entire field is a toss in regards to the KD. it was an abysmal field, the worst I have seen in the past twenty years of the Florida Derby.

I agree, watched race again Greatest honour has no mid race gears, wouldn't write winner off though if he improves for this race could run into a place in the Derby.

@@seadrifter8975 Known Agenda could run 3rd in the Derby with a monster effort. I'd skip the Preakness with him and I think he'd run well in the Belmont with the LONG stretch and distance. His time form numbers and Beyer was blah- you even had a horse, Eye Of A Jedi, who won the Ghostzapper (His biggest win0 who had only won before that 5 of 32 races and only runs at Gulf Stream, he ran faster and he is a one track horse with average numbers. Known Agenda just isn't there yet. Essential Quality should be 3-5 at post for the Bluegrass- it's not an inspiring field sans him.

Surprised none of you DQ Max Security aren’t screaming. Winner and second place finisher bumped at the top of the stretch and this wasn’t even a 20 horse field. Just goes to show that all the ones yelling and screaming really didn’t and don’t understand racing. Even if you have Angel Cordero bumping and hitting in big races you don’t take down horses. There is contact at the top of the stretch in many races throughout the week. Been watching the ponies since the early 80 ‘s. On a note about the winner. Don’t like he lugged out to the middle of the stretch during his run. Might be too green to win at a Mile and quarter with no more prep races.

The game is so polluted now it's probably 15-20 years tops before it's gone. A lack of resources and a lack of will in the industry to catch and ban the cheaters along with the fact that there always seems to be a vet or trainer with access to a better chemist will eventually spell doom. As far as the whip, yes, ban it. Look at the leading rider of the meet on the winner here, he hits the horse left-handed six times as it bears out, can't manage to switch his stick, then hits it left-handed a couple more times and it continues to bear out. Yeah, that's some skill. If insiders don't think many average people see this as abuse they're either blind or just plain dumb.

Totally rigged race the jockey put Greatest Honor in on the fence midway on the back stretch instead of letting the hose run not boxed in wide. To save ground? No that’s how they throw the race, oldest trick in the book horse racing is Rigged Don’t bet
