The Florida Everblades have won a third Kelly Cup in as many years, becoming the first three-peat champion in ECHL history after defeating the Kansas City Mavericks in a dramatic Game 5. After going down 3-1, the Everblades pushed back to tie the game late in the third period and Matthew Wedman was the overtime championship hero as Florida went back-to-back-to-back!

I’m both ecstatic and depressed saying that this was the greatest hockey game I’ve ever witnessed in person at Hertz Arena because it can never happen again being the first echl team to win the Kelly cup 3 times in a row. But also proud to have grown up watching this team play. GO BLADES

Born and raised in Florida went to many games when I was down there. Watched every game all the way up from Kentucky. So proud of my home team still gives me chills. Wish I was down there to celebrate with everyone.

I must make it clear its surreal to see this in minor league hockey....but this proves those numbers are possible with the right organizational structure and the right coaching.... so when this happens it is never by accident! Congrats to the Florida Everblades on three straight Kellys!

Talk about a "playoff team"....man Mavs had a great season....I bet this is what it feels like to be any other football team besides KC chiefs.....no wonder everyone is sour in the NFL...dynastys are killers to everyone else 😅. i hate florida now bc the mavs and there fans have been waiting for this all there life, including me. somewhere in my heart the mavericks won and i think the mavs would agree! GO MAVS!!! next year we will kick forida's butt!!! GO MAVSS!!!! THIS IS MAVS COUNTRY!!!! NO EVERBLADES ALLOWED!!!!
