In 2013 Florida Gulf-Coast went to the Sweet 16 in my hometown of Philadelphia. In 2022 Saint Peter's went to the Elite 8 in my hometown of Philadelphia. A 15 seed probably going to the Final Four in my hometown of Philadelphia?

John Thompson III is the worst choke artist of all time, he had 5 straight NCAA tournaments ended with losses to double-digit seeded teams, no other coaches have managed to choke so routinely in such a long period of time. Incredible.

Explain to me what is the logic/strategy to keep fouling the team that is already winning? Why give them free points?

It stops the clock so then you get the ball back with more time. If they're only winning by 1 you do it 100% of the time no question anything above that is risky but it's better then letting them waste time as you want the ball in your hands when you're down
