I think this is the best interview on this channel. It reminds me of something I heard once “don’t be afraid of the man with a scar on his face, be afraid of the man who put it there”. This man is awesome, he’s taking responsibility and truly owning up for what he did. God bless this man.

The best yet! He owned and paid for his crime! Not only articulate and wise, but sharing real knowledge. We are all flawed! We all have shadows. This man knows them well and shares with an open heart and deep clarity of how humans act in extreme situations,. He transcends the often superficial narratives concerning human psychology of transformation! Well done to the both of you! Respect!

I truly enjoy listening to him speak and tell his stories. He is very intelligent, intellectual and has his head on straight. I love listening to him speak. Of course you tell that he is a humble and truly thankful to be out here. He takes full responsibility of his actions but learned the most important factor, the ability to forgive, and move on. To not hold onto the on past.

@@listlessgeniustv1939 of course. I have learned a long time ago no one should be identified as who they were, but as who they are. I think having grown up around someone else that had taken life, I learned that "your past shouldn't be a life sentence, but a life lesson"

A sense of humor, even with the darkest things, is one of the healthiest coping mechanisms. My husband died. Devastates us, but the kids and I inherited his insane sense of humor and how we have survived this. We make death jokes daily, and I know he is in heaven laughing his a$$ off, happy we are. You can't fault this guy for having a sense of humor about his reality.

Hendry ci was a camp located smack in the middle of the Everglades. They had mosquitos the size of your thumb! It was also a camp that had the most life sentences in an era where in Florida. 8 days equaled one month off your sentence. With gain time, if you were calm in prison. each month you would get 22 days off of your sentence. So if you had a 25 year sentence. You’d get one third off when you got prison, and 22 days a month off for your whole sentence. So on 25 years you could be out in 6 years back in 1989. So prisons in Florida were a lot calmer because no one wanted to get written up, because they wanted to go home early! Hendry was a camp where a majority of inmates had life sentences. So everyone was on a different level back then in comparison to other camps in Florida. The 89 riot at hendry ci was an event that became infamous throughout the 90’s in florida doc. I’d be interested to hear his hendry riot story.

We keep hearing this explanation of people being released without receiving services which they are promised by law to haveprovidedto them, when their circumstances require them most. It seems that they release them regardless of whether the required services will be available, making them optional, in effect.
