Kim how is this affecting home purchases on Palm Coast Canal homes?

You should assume that being on the water will have a higher premium so obtaining an elevation certificate would be helpful to ensure you are not in a Flood Zone. If so, flood insurance will be required. The homeowners insurance is still very much roof related.

Haha! I'm with @MrWeusi, Who are you hanging out with? I don't find that at all but there are definitely people who are true Floridians, that grew up here and have seen their taxes and insurance increase, so that may play a part to some people being a bit pissy. Where in Long Island are you? I grew up there.

I live in Bohemia near Oakdale. My brother is trying to get me to move down to Tampa bay. Im on the fence on it. The good thing is I can transfer my job down there. The bad thing is I cant afford to buy a house and the tents seem unaffordable there 😔

@@tjl5419 I grew up near Port Jefferson. I have a good friend in Bohemia. I think Tampa was the hottest market for a bit so prices shot up. There are a lot of housing options there since it's a city. I like Dunedin. It's a bit congested though. If you need a Realtor hook up, let me know. I have a great agent I work with there.

Great info. I own my condo but the roof is taken care of by Assocation. I have State farm 220k condo 2000k a year i think that sounds fair what do you think ? 32137

What floor are you on? How big is the unit? That seems high to me. I have a condo in St Augustine 1284 sq feet $255k and I pay just under $1,000.
