It has been a couple months since the last time we played some carnival games. We went to the Florida State Fair recently and you all know we had to play a few carnival games. As a fish owner myself I know how hard it is to care for them properly and most poeple who win one at a fair aren't prepared to provide properly for a goldfish that will end up getting a foot long, I'm glad this prize is being fazed out

I remember winning a few as a kid. One survived for about three years. Which, given as you said, was pretty decent for me at the time.

Make sure to get the little fish a nice tank (not a bowl) with a lid so that it doesn't jump out. Also, make sure you get a filter and clean out the tank every few days. Also, don't let the fish into a pond, It would probably die. If it was born in captivity , keep it in captivity.

Dance Moms Lover it actually is mean to the fish. Those conditions are not healthy for fish to live it. I often screws with their natural slime coating and can make them super sick to the point of dying. Plus, sitting in those bags all day, oxygen levels slowly deplete to nothing and can suffocate the animal as well...not to mention the temperatures.

I won a fish before and it lasted 2 weeks I was really happy 😊 but then I googled it beacuse it was acting sad 😭 so it said that in the fair they put a kind of drug in the warter so the fish slowly dies... ☹️😭 R.I.P scales 😭😭

Release the fish into a pond if you don't have the proper conditions(which take a week to get ready and filter) it will die, please don't try and keep the fish IT WILL DIE

NEVER release a store bought fish into the wild!!!!!!!!! Especially a goldfish. They can completely destroy a native fish habit. There are thousands of lakes, rivers and ponds in the US that have been destroyed by people releasing their unwanted koi, goldfish, cichlids, turtles and snakes into the wild.

It's upsetting when seeing goldfish at carnivals because most people who win them don't know how to care for them and goldfish need at least a 40 gallon tank

You have to put that fish in at least a 10 gallon tank and a filter. It would cost around 30 dollars and extra decorations. I really hate when carnivals sell animals because they get put in the wrong care and die. In my festival they give away turtles and bunnies to people. Let's just say they don't survive at a carnial

I played that Fish Game once. Spent $5 won 2 fish. Left carnival spent $40 at fish store for beginner 3 gallon startup tank..... 1 month later bought 15 gallon and bought more fish... 4 months later bought 30 gallon and more fish.... All said and done 1 year later ended up with a 48 gallon $1,000 Bow Front Oceanic Tank and Stand with a $400 Ehimn Pump not to mention more fish!! After a couple years that tank leaked about 40 gallon of water on my wood floors in the office while vacationing in a Disney!!!! All said and done that $5 ended up costing me Thousands!!!!

I won a fish this summer at the fair, it lasted so long that we bought a fish tank and the fish loves it, my brother named it Fi ( Fee), its spoiled.

You want to know something that's sad. People get these fish and keep them in bowls when they realistically need 40 gallons each as a minimum, but even 40 gallons is too small.
