As a die hard FSU fan and alum, this is exactly what we deserve. The way we acted after the snub was embarrassing. Don't get me wrong, college football is broken and I think Kirby Smart articulated it perfectly after the game. I believe in Coach Norvell and what we're doing going forward. Georgia chose to make a statement and they did. I hope we learn from this. I feel so bad for these players. Georgia and Kirby Smart showed why they're Georgia. Much respect to the Dawgs. Go Noles.

@@PastorOfMuppets74it's not a culture thing at FSU. I see both sides. I'm a Longhorn fan and we didn't deserve to be there. The fact that 2 teams who lost jumped an undefeated team is wrong. FSU deserved that 3rd spot. That 4th spot was up for debate but FSU deserved #3. Tell me, why should they play a game that doesn't matter? Tell me, why does Michigan and Washington deserve to be there? They have the same record as FSU. So why was only FSU snubbed? FSU beat LSU, Clemson, Florida, and Louisville who are all great teams.

@@pimmyflores8739 I disagree completely but that's cool. The only team that you mentioned that was good was LSU, not sayin the other teams couldn't have won. I understand FSU's position. I'm on their side in that conversation. They SHOULD have been in the playoffs. But they weren't. I could complain about UGA, but I definitely understand why we were left out. To me it comes down to this...and anybody who's played football at a higher level should know...that's not a "meaningless game". That's just something the media keeps throwing out. That was the Orange Bowl. But bk to my point, to compete with the guys who have sacrificed all year, are injured, seniors that will never play again, etc etc...you don't abandom them. You should be chomping at the bit to get to help your teammates and compete as a team, as a brotherhood again. No games are "meaningless" in that regard. I said a culture issue bc clearly FSU whined and complained and there were talks about boycotting by the Uni n the team took a victim hood mentality. I understand being upset about it but you pull together and try to compete. You should want to compete. I could say a lot more but I've already written a book. That's my opinion. It's just an opinion, but that's football to me. If someone disagrees, fine. No problem with that. Take care. BTW that was a great comeback. Y'all almost pulled it off. Great game. Norvell is sitting on one of the coldest seats in football and this despicable game won’t change that. Now, if next season is a wreck that could change, but I don’t see that happening.

Look at all these classy Ga fans 😂. If Ga was left out being conference champions because starting qb was hurt, you all would be hurt also. I don’t blame the players for not playing. I would hate to see them get injured before the combined. Hats off to Ga for playing a really good game. Georgia is the standard for college football.

When the NFL draft arrives,I’d be very wary of drafting an FSU player.If they quit on a coach and their university then what makes you think they won’t quit on you. Bo Schembechler: The team, the team,the team.

What team?
@Mr66Benz6 ай бұрын
Don't follow either team but I do care about the kids and the idea of college football. Sick and tired of sportscasters, coaches and fans saying "they understand why kids do it," "I'd do it myself if I were them," It's all crap!! The TEAM got the players in the position to be drafted, the TEAM gave them the opportunity for NIL $$, the TEAM and SCHOOL except in 1 in a million athletes help carry them to their success. So the fact that a player can't finish, chooses not to finish and leave his brothers on the field to be crushed is 100% the show of their character. Hearing people associated with the sport, coaches, news, players saying the bowl games are a waste is pitiful; these same people use the bowl games as motivation, often (Huskers especially) gauge a winning season and success on getting to one. I hope we can save the game...

I hate that there were so many FSU players that quit on there team. Opt outs are a huge problem and not something players would have done 10 or 15 years ago. If I was an NFL scout I wouldn’t waste my time on a player that opts out. A competitor will always want to play.

Clemson fan here. Congratulations to Georgia. I knew there was a huge gap between Georgia and FSU, but this was a whipping. No doubt the team that got the short end of the stick from the committee was Georgia. I said it after the top 4 was selected. I also said FSU shouldn’t have been in the top 4. The game would have been closer, but the outcome would’ve been the same if both teams were at full strength. Not looking forward to the future as college football is broken. I wouldn’t be surprised to see teams make the top 12 have the same thing happen next year. Teams with the FSU culture with a me first attitude are going to put themselves over the team. They have that right. Players like you have, the culture coach Smart has built…it’s very impressive and it’s going to be a challenge to take you guys down.

Uga had two starters out, let's not get too delusional
@Swole_Geek6 ай бұрын
@@Sonnen88 yeah let’s not. FSU simply is not that deep. Depth matters. The 3rd and 4th stringers for GA were all 4-5 stars that could play anywhere in the country. It wasn’t fair FSU had to play GA. GA can beat anyone in the country. Unfortunately Bama had their number a few weeks ago. FSU had to cry to get past Louisville 16-6. To anyone that thinks FSU, with their starters, woulda scored more than 16 on GA is absolutely delusional. They only scored 16 on a mediocre Louisville team! I’m an ACC guy raised in the panhandle too, but let’s not get too crazy. Not sure FSU coulda beat GA with Charlie Ward! Lmfao. To be fair, Georgia was the defending 2 time champion and could possibly win it all if they were in the final 4. Crazy part is that Georgia also had 23 players out including their best player Brock Bowers. Kirby Smart was even being nice by calling all running plays for a bit and even threw in a few of the walk ons and 4th stringers. FSU, or any team in the ACC just don’t have that kind of firepower; depth

So many on here claiming UGA was at full strength because coach Smart said so in the presser. Smart rarely talks about injuries and has a next man up culture. Here is a list of starters for UGA who did not play in the game: Brock Bowers, Amaris Mims, RaRa Thomas, Dhumas Johnson, Smely Mondon, Christian Miller, Julian Humphrey. In addition GA had 18 players enter the portal who did not play.

How do you explain Louisville getting stomped by USC's bench, and FSU starters didn't do that. FSU was ranked where the committee got it right this time. They are not at that tier yet; depth was an issue, and Georgia's 2nd string and walk-on QB outscored them by 21 points.

Coach, watch the Georgia post game press conference. Try to understand that culture is the most important differentiator at the elite level. Georgia held together strong because the players played for each other. They didn’t opt out, they didn’t whine, they didn’t litigate. They went out and played their best game of the season.
@MikeGowan-xo9yv6 ай бұрын
Zero pride sitting that many out. It was disgraceful. That’s why they got left out, it was a charachter issue with that program…can’t. E proud of mailing it in and not compete. @andrewb.98156 ай бұрын
So instead of try to prove the case that they were "snubbed" they decided to opt out. Goes to show the amount of grit the program has. Guaranteed if FSU was chosen over Bama, Bama would have shown up. FSU simply isn't National Championship material, time to stop pretending. Real champions don't mope and feel sorry for themselves.

No one will remember their season. Just the 63-3 loss to Georgia.
@lucasparham50686 ай бұрын
Nah. Georgia will remember the 63-3 win, but the rest of the nation will remember the controversy of leaving a 13-0 P4 conference champion out of the playoffs, and how that contributed to the end of the ACC altogether. College football is in shambles right now. Your coach is right that it needs to be fixed.
@sandmangti70406 ай бұрын
The Nation will remember players quit. Doing this erased the season. They will be remembered as losers. Yes college football is just semi pro teams who happen to play at colleges. No one will fix. Lots of money. It could be fixed with few changes. How? Attach scholarships to graduation rates. If the college graduates 70% of students then football team must average 70% graduation rate also. If they do not, they lose scholarships based on how far below. This means coaches must recruit student athletes. Players must also sign contracts. Either yearly in that they play “all” games in a season. Bowls also. Or that they sign to a 4 year contract and must graduate within 5 years.

Been a SEMINOLES fan for as long as I can remember. This was embarrassing. All props to the Georgia Bulldogs, they were ready to play and to make a statement. Personally, I dont understand how they were left out of the playoffs??? Yes, I know what happened with them losing to Bama in the SEC title game, but Georgia is one of the best 2 teams in the country. Georgia rolls Michigan, Washington, and Texas, just my opinion. To the kids who showed up for FSU, hold your head up, you at least showed up for the game, unlike a few others who opted out. I wont give names, but you know who they were. This will seriously hurt recruiting!!! NOLES fan till I die. Hey, at least we beat our 3 rivals this year so thats always nice. Yes, talking about you Florida, Miami, and Clemson. Always nice making sure Florida stays home for bowl season. I dont know where FSU goes from here, but its obvious that were a second tier team with what happened against Georgia. Hopefully, they get it right next year, and try to make a run. Go SEMINOLES!!!!
