70 year old, lifelong Blues fan here. We finally got our parade in 2019 after 52 years of frustration. I see a LOT of similarities in the Florida Panthers. Big heavy forechecking team with a solid defense core. Great goaltending. And a coach who wore his heart on his sleeve and inspired the team! I enjoy seeing Paul Maurice winning the Cup! Reminds me a bit of Craig Berube.

Best celebration from a coach. He’s all business when there’s work to be done, and then he celebrates like any average Joe once the work is done. I didn’t want Florida to win, but I’m not crapping on them at all for it. They earned it. Maurice already had my respect, but it is now 10x what it was. Everything he has said since the win has been true to his heart, but you know when he’s back in the same situation it’ll be back to business. Work hard, play hard. He might wear a suit, but he’s got the mentality of a blue collar; the people that, while may not be the financial core of the NHL fan base, are the true heart of the fans of the NHL. He’s fuckin real.

I have been watching hockey since the late 70's though I don't really watch it today.I just check the scores.More of an MLB fan.Anyways,I have never seen anything like this b4,especially from a coach & it was godamn beautiful,amazing.The gentleman(Paul) is speaking his heart out.Everything from the heart.I'm very happy that the CATS won the cup.U deserve it.From the dark days when they were close to relocating & all the suffering, to now.The Panthers are finally at the top of the mountain.I hope u win next year as well & the team from the west would be the Knights. 😁 Btw,I'm from Toronto but never was a Leaf fan.
