You guys should definitely consider keeping some snake antivenom on hand for any of the local venomous species, for your dogs. It's dangerous to go into tall grass without an ample supply of potions, antidotes, full restores, and enough pokeballs to capture any of the monsters you come across.

I'm so happy for the both of you, your hardwork has finally paid off and now you can create a sanctuary for animals, and I'm so glad that your going to keep as much of the natural habitat as you can instead of bulldozing everything.

You could always place a trail cam on the gopher tortoise burrow and try to see what it shares its home with. Congrats on the dream property!

I Was Going To Say Buy A Cyclone Fence But It Looks Like The Previous Home Owner Already Told You But Anyway Nice Property I Like It And I Have A Neighbor Who Has A Similar Property Who Lives In The Back Of The Woods By Himself He Has A 10 Foot Cyclone Fence All Around His House With Barb Wire He Takes Security/Camera's And Lights Very Seriously Which I Like His Lights Shine Up The Back Of The Woods Where He Lives At Like It's The White House For The President Of The United States Or Something Or Area 51 Or A Military Base.

Chihuahua’s. Once you get one you will never get anything else. I did the same thing to my husband. He was so mad. That was 15 yrs ago and we have had 5 of them since then. 3 are with us currently. I drove 15 hours to CA to get our 3 lb baby. So happy for you guys. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

This is literally the most magical place on earth I've ever seen, besides maybe one or two eastern temples. You can definitely tell a witch was living there for a long time, tending the land and keeping its spirit alive. It's rare to come across such places in reality, it literally is like a dream. Please take super good care of the land and the animals living there. Remember, YOU'RE THEIR GUESTS, not the other way around. Also, I'm like 90% sure a big enough owl would definitely try to eat your dog if it thought it was a rodent. Keep an eye on the lot of them, you're the new stewards of Balance in a realm where banality is the only separator between entities.

I've had a facination of anything thats like a crocodile. I like hearing all the facts about them. especially saltwater ones, even though we are prey for saltwater crocodiles, and they actively hunt humans.

This is literally The dream property!!! When you fence off the area, will you have wildlife crossing tunnels underneath it for your tortoises and snakes and whatever other critters? Im sure you know fences can be big hurdles to wildlife, and just to make sure you can sustain all of the beautiful nature there it could be a cool idea! Plus, wildlife cams!!

The range of the barred owl is pretty wild, we have them up here in Ontario, Canada, even in the snowy dead of winter. They're very successful owls!

Man, here you are out here, getting ready to live the dream. That land is so beautiful. Don't stress about the perimeter fencing, by the way; even if you can't fence the whole forty acres right away, you can always add more fencing over time. Stick with it and before you know it the whole place will be an impregnable fortress for nature. :V

I'm a little surprised they wouldn't let you buy Casper? But this means there will be two sanctuaries that gators can go to without being unalived so I won't complain

I have 47 acres and we have owls, hawks and a golden eagle that love to hang out in our trees and they’re also the reason why my chihuahua mix never goes out without someone. I love Birds of Prey though.

Awesome place .. wildlife and animals are a blessing for sure. I live out in the country in Missouri and have a lot of animals(pets) , what I do about helping with the predators is I have a big tall fence around the area where I keep my animals about 2 acres in the back yard up to the house then I have a German shepherd and his sidekick Phillip (a goose) lol , to protect the animals inside since predators still sneak in such as foxes .

8’ fence with roll bar in the top. It will prevent any animals to jump or climb. We used that in CA against coyotes

I always had Pitbulls and Presa Canario, I never was a fan of small dogs then years ago one of my daughters wanted a small dog I got her a little female chihuahua and that little girl became my very best friend I ever had in my life. She died last year and I have not been the same never a second goes by I don’t miss her and I will until I die. Give her a chance she will be awesome!!
