It’s so glad to know Hands Across the Sea DMC conversions are spot on. I was wondering about that and didn’t want to buy a lot of silk. Great job on your first flosstube! Please do more videos. Your son and you are in my prayers. I started back stitching when my daughter went on dialysis and it helped get me through her transplant a couple of years ago.

To be fair, I have never stitch one with the silks but I think the dmc is beautiful! I have a few more to show so hopefully you can see more examples. Thank you so much for thinking of my son, it really shifts your whole perspective. Hope to “see” you again soon!

Hi Karen, I think you did great with your 1st flosstube. Love.y projects and your bags are so so cute! I’m so very sorry for what your family has been going through these last months. Life can be really hard sometimes. I think it’s especially hard when it affects our kids. May the Lord give you all strength and courage and the “peace that passes understanding” in the days ahead. Loved your first flosstube. I am hopeful that your little is helped by all these procedures and your life changes again for the better. I enjoyed all of your projects, also being a big plumstreet lover this was extra fun for me - I also always thought you couldn’t bring big projects on a plane but I ended up doing it and it was fine. Loved you called yourself a ‘ruley’ 🤣🤣and you are very sweet, brave and funny. keep going!

Aaah bless you and big hugs for you and your Son. You had my eyes leaking at the end where you welled up. I know what you mean about being saved by the lovely people in this stitchy community. My Mum passed away in May and my dog of 15 years passed on Monday this week and the Flosstubes of this community are keeping me going. Wonderful first episode and looking forward to more. I also have a Flosstube but haven’t filmed for a while for understandable reasons but I’ll be back sometime soon. Great to meet you, Karen x

Hi! I just found your Flosstube so I’m starting with the 1st one. The chicken portion of the sampler is just beautiful! Love all the Plum Street and all your bags 🙂 Hawk Run-that is so tempting to me, I love it so much- but it might take my entire life, ha! This is so exciting! I have one of your beautiful portfolios from early on and it is such a treasure! But more importantly, thank you so, so much for watching and commenting. I have some plans to take more portions of samplers and make smaller items like I did with the chickens - it’s allowed me to see so many more options! And it’s absolutely safe to say my Hawk Run will be a lifelong project for me 😂 so don’t hesitate! Thank you also for the words for my son, we got back from another surgery on Saturday and have plans to go again in July. But we are just taking it as it comes - I now have him picking my projects each week and it has been just lovely!

I’m so sorry to hear about your son…eyes are so precious, i loss sight in one eye as the doctors ruled out optic nerve cancer. . I stitch , I was a microbiologist where eyesight was the basis of my work ..I had a little farm with horses. I gave up a lot due to fear of losing sight in both eyes . The very best wishes for your son.. Ps your projects and stitching is wonderful

I’ve been wanting to start both those designs but havent flipped the switch yet because they are scary BAPs. I love all your projects but Charley Harper is extra special. Great video, Karen! I hope you come back to do more. I like that you use summer khaki for a lot of your projects. I’m always looking for a good neutral that makes the white pop. Of course I loved seeing the WIP parade, but also enjoyed the peoject bag parade! 😊.

I've been following you on IG for a while, but I just had a chance to watch these. I knew from your posts that things were going in with your son, but not the full story. You have a community of "friends" who are thinking of you and your son every day. You are not on your own. Some day you will get back to the Unicorn chart, maybe the fabric will soften over time. It was a gift from your mom, so that's important.❤
