That happen to me one time - the one lady cut my fabric wrong for a 5 Panel Project - all 5 Pieces of Fabric was wrong. I could tell just by looking at it. I took all of the Fabric back and the owner at the time cut all of my fabric the right size that I needed and I was not charged for it. If I don’t have a three inch border all the way around my fabric I will completely start all over again on a piece of Fabric that has a 3 inch border to it. I don’t care how much stitching is done on it I will re-start it. This is just me. Love all of your WIPS - they are very pretty. I love the colors on them. Love your Bags. They are so pretty. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🪡🧵🪡🍁🍂❤️

I’ve also been working on my Love Bugs this month and waffling over initials and dates as that isn’t my usually thing. Your bags are looking great, I started on a patchwork bag a few months ago and quickly went nope let’s try some solid panels first

Cute projects, Rachel! How are you finding center of your fabric? I’m thinking that may be your issue with measuring incorrectly for the margins. Not saying this hasn’t ever happened to me as it has yet mine is more positional error (landscape vs portrait position). Anyways I’m curious as to how your find your fabric center. Cute patchwork project bag projects! I especially love the green one, so pretty.

Thank you!! I’ve been starting from the top left recently so I just measure (wrong) from the left and top and start with the corner stitch. When I do center starts, usually just fold the fabric in half twice and mark the point with a needle. I forgot to show it, but love bugs is actually a center start but it backfired because I have a TON of extra fabric on each side, but the pieces will probably be too narrow to do much with.

@@Lemonadestitching gotcha! I know Jo Kramer measures that same way for most of her pieces. I use the center fold and intersection just so I’m sure it’s correct. You can use the leftovers for stitching bookmarks! I’ve done that and add a bit of lace or edging to them and gift book reader friends with them.
