I have to say I was a bit shocked when I heard you say West Texas School and is was Angelo State. I am way older than you, my guess is my daughters are close to your age, but I went to school in San Angelo from 6th grade through 12th. I graduated from Central High. Then I went to university to Southwest Texas State University( now Texas State) in San Marcos. I got married and lived in San Marcos, but had both my daughters in New Braunfels. So, I always enjoy your references to my old haunting grounds. I have lived in Phoenix, AZ for over 30 years now, but fond memories of my Texas years. I do enjoy all your stitching and thanks for sharing.

Small world!!💜 Many many of my classmates were Central High Grads, I was blown away when I learned it is so big there is a separate campus for the freshmen! Both of my siblings attended Texas State too, crazy haha Thank you for sharing and Happy Stitching! 🧵🧵

I love to try and influence people to start stitching lol. My favorite cookbook is the 50s? Version of better homes and gardens new cookbook. I grew up with some of the recipes (mostly sweets haha) so it holds good memories for me 😊

Your fabric haul is gorgeous! That purple Aida is stunning. I’m doing Yellow Submarine on 16 ct Colleen and it’s perfect. I may have to drive down to New Braunfels and visit that shop! I’m in Dallas and we didn’t think we would see totality because of clouds. But it cleared up and we saw the full 4+ minutes. It was so cool. Cookbook.

I am doing The Deadly Aquarium SAL also, and I love your fabrics, but one of the suggestions was to use a lest busy fabric as there was a lot of detail. I hope that helps make you choose. Love your projects and your stitching.

Love the little eclipse birdie pattern!! Their little glasses!! So glad you had a great trip! That fabric haul had me drooling 🤤! So stunning! I sincerely wish i was able to have a cookbook party coz that aounds like a blast and a great way to get aome use out of those cookbooks I have that seem to only get one use for a specific recipe before I forget about it lol. In other words, this is not a giveaway entry, I just wanted to discuss that the idea is a great one! 😂

Bummed it was cloudy for the eclipse! It was brief here in NJ, but we trooped outside for the few seconds it lasted here. Cookbooks are awesome - my mom loves helping her various volunteer groups put them together for fundraisers. Highly recommend The Cooky Book from Betty Crocker - it's an oldie but goodie! I did miss out on this one from market this year. You have such great projects! As soon as I saw that purple Artemis from Atomic Ranch, I thought - it needs a Mirabilia! Can't wait to see if you do a Nora or Mira on it.

I just started the Deadly Aquarium SAL, too! I CANNOT wait to see how it all comes together - it's my first Lola Crow SAL. I don't know if it's my favorite yet, but the cookbook I just bought is "101 Thai dishes you need to cook before you die" by Jet Tila. I watch a lot of food network 🤣

You have stitched so much in 2 weeks I love that specialty band pattern. It’s on my wishlist. “ I thought I was safe from the new release” famous last words 😂😂 Oooo that purple Aida is gorgeous ❤ I’m so glad you liked that little extra I added to my project. Yes I made those matchbook needle bed. I saw it on someone’s channel. I think that hocus pocus thread is a great choice for the stitch4 pride drop.

I just started the deadly aquarium SAL also! It's my first from her and I'm enjoying it so far! I absolutely love those bags your friend made and yes, she should get into bag making! Love the cookbook club idea! Thanks for sharing! Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to try linen or higher count fabrics. I'm still in the aida stage myself. 🙂

Ain't nothing wrong with the aida stage! They honestly take dye so well I love them for more saturated colors. This is my first Lola Crow SAL and I am so enjoying the frame so far! 🩵

I wish I had known the cookbook had a Katie Landis Original, I would have made sure to order one. my favorite cookbook isn't really a cookbook it's the recipe cards from Hello Fresh. We like to remake the meals.

Cookbook recommendation. Try any of Vegan Richa cookbooks - so much flavor but they do take some effort. I hope I heard correctly that you wanted recommendations. I was stitching and my hubs was talking so may have misheard. 😂

Seemingly!! I had Julie send the Round Robin via UPS because I would never forgive myself if a piece got lost trying to get to me haha but the BNS package came from USPS and arrived on time! My first time having that happen since all this started! There is HOPE! 😂

It was so fun! #motifaweek going strong! Looking Good!! The bird - I thought is was outside my window and I was trying to identify it 🤣😂 WOW - those bags!!! Yes.
