"I don't know if this has been helpful"... I just bought on eBay the glue, 2 sizes of magnets, and a whole selection of metal brooches! So YES, this has been helpful and inspiring. THANK YOU. 🌷🌷🌷🩷🩷

Thanks so much for this how to video on needle minders! I am definitely going to try and make a few. They are so expensive to purchase on etsy. Making my own would be more personal and cost effective!

Thank you so much!!! I was trying to make some and my Magnets weren’t strong enough in my glue wouldn’t hold. You answered all my questions. You are the best I love your videos. And also your personality. 💕🌺 take care. Diana

Thank you, What a Fun and Fast easy project to make your own, since the needle minders I've been seeing are pretty pricey Im going to make some

Another informative video. Even if you prefer to buy your needle minders its nice to make them out of special objects like the lady bug and brad from the Christmas card.

E6000 is the best glue ever. I used to make jewelry and used E6000 all the time. Guess I need to go find some pretties to turn into more needleminders💕💕

Great video!! Thank you for sharing. I have several pieces from the pork chop show and was wondering if you treat them with a clear coating before using them as a needle minder?
@Stitcherista5 жыл бұрын
I don't treat them all before I use them.

Thanks for the video! One question... it looks like the dragon stitch minder is holding your needles between the stitch-minder and the fabric. I'm new to stitch minders - thought you just needed to put them on TOP of the stitch minder so the needle would be held there by the magnets. Is there a reason you put those ones between the stitch-minder and the fabric?
@Stitcherista4 жыл бұрын
That one is made differently. It is made to hold the needle in the middle of the needleminder.

@kathytincler24466 жыл бұрын
They are really cute. How are you getting them to stick to the fabric? Thank you :)
@Stitcherista6 жыл бұрын
There is a separate magnet on the back. A needleminder is two pieces. So you put the needleminder on the FRONT of your fabric, and then the second magnet goes on the back to hold it in place.

Also can you help me with what size of magnets I should buy.🌺
@Stitcherista4 жыл бұрын
There are all different sizes. It all depends on what size your needleminder is.

Thanks for this video. I have a little red metal stand with a center section that's black metal (supposed to be used as a chalkboard) that I scored at Michael's a month or so ago. I recently added a finished x-stitch project to the top portion of the chalkboard and am planning to use the bottom portion as a place to store my needleminders. However, I don't actually have any needleminders ;-) so have been wanting to make some for myself. I'll hit up Hobby Lobby for some E6000 and doodads to turn into needleminders and hit up amazon for the rare earth magnets and then get busy making needleminders. Thanks again, Danielle!

First of all thank you =) and yes you are right needle minders are not expensive when u live in the states I am only in Canada which is just next door but the shipping is crazy so in the end your needminer comes out to about 20 bucks . hmmmmm no thats crazy price , so I have no choice but to make em , even canada shipping is insane 10.00 . like what? no I refuse to pay it
@trinaportner41255 жыл бұрын
what size are the magnets that you are using
@Stitcherista5 жыл бұрын
I linked the magnets in the description box. I don't remember exactly what size. I used different sizes depending on the size of the needleminder.

I bought the same crown and spider at Hobby Lobby. I ended up throwing away the crown because the end tines broke off. And my spider ended up with six legs, too! The top legs broke off. But I kept it although it is no longer technically a spider with only six legs.

Use a clothespin to hold the magnet against the item till it dries. That’s what I use.

Someone told me to buy neodynium magnets. So off i go to amazon and accidently bought 1.26” diameter ones! They are huge compared to yours! And with bug size comes a much stronger power! What should i do??

Thank you to you and your husband for showing such great detail on how to do this. 👏🏿👏🏿 I'm new to stitching and I don't even need many needleminders BUT I love them so I was interested in how to do it. I wonder if I could use the pet nail grinder thing to grind them down.

Six-legged spider. . .heheheh (Ok, not so funny if it was a live one. That'd be cruel. But it's not, so it is funny. ;) ) Thanks for the video. I did make my first needle minder and its great to see that I had the right idea. :D I have 2 more to make - just using the bare magnets at the moment. I'll have to look into getting some of those rare-earth magnets for the next round. I'd love to be able to buy some needleminders too. But at this point they're so expensive. Every time I look, they're like $10 - $25 That's crazy!! (Worse if they're from the States and whatever I buy is *nearly* double with exchange and postage. ugh.) So making them it is. Which works. I can get what I like that way.

The needle will stick to the middle of the needleminder on the front in the same spot that the magnet is on the back. They are extremely strong magnets.

Stitcherista awesome! Just purchased it! Have you ever done videos about all the different 'fabric or thread of the month' clubs? I am pondering which ones to join. Do you have any preferences? If you dont already have a video, I think that would be a great idea for one. Not that you don't already have enough to do, lol.
