You’re killing me girl! The seasonal Quakers has been on my radar for years! Watching you stitch it 🤤 I’m stitching my goth vanity sampler on Oyster shell and it’s gorgeous on it. This is the first time I am watching your flosstube and I am really enjoying it. Your enthusiasm as well as your unhappiness when appropriate is refreshing. I am intrigued by your tracking of stitches and percent of completion and wonder what caused you to start doing that. I would also like to know where you buy your fabric for stitching. I do not live near a needlework store and find it hard to select fabric on line. Thanks for your fine podcast and brightening my day. Linda from Maryland.

I've always been a tracker/planner and really enjoy seeing my personal stats! I buy my fabric from TopKnotStitcher, HollisHandsCreates, and 123stitch usually! Most of the time I'm hoping the colors will work for what I'm picturing, but even if it doesn't work for the project I buy it for I figure it'll work for something down the line!

👻 as a former Licensed Massage Therapist, Sciatica happens at all ages and is so painful! I hope they figure out how to help. You kitty is so sweet! I enjoyed seeing all your WIP’s. I have seen a lot of flosstubers abandon Dark Queen of the Earth! And if it’s not calling to you anymore, move on. It was so nice to see a colorful Pandemic. I’ve seen it finished but as a monochromatic piece. I agree that one sampler, just do the inside and call it good. It doesn’t need all that other stitching to be fantastic!

Thank you! I used the website stitch fiddle! I just digitally charted it exactly how it is in the pattern, and then I was able to move things around until I had it how I wanted it!

What kinda advice would you give someone that really wants to learn to cross stitch but is unsure where to start ?

The fat quarter shop has a series of videos here on KZfaq called cross stitch university that goes over how to begin stitching in detail! It’s great! The other advice would be don’t box yourself in as a beginner! After you get the hang of making the xs you can do almost any pattern you want! I hope that helps!
