Love your flosstube. The retro patterns remind me of when I stitched in the late 80’s early 90’s. I got away from cross stitch but I’m hooked again. I live in NW Pennsylvania near Lake Erie. It’s nice to see another Pennsylvania stitcher.

Ye Olde Cross Stitchery is my LNS as well. It is well stocked with fancy floss, fabric, and patterns. Only downfall is the hours and days open. Retro patterns are the best! I love my Juki and it is a wonderful machine to quilt on! Happy Stitching.

I found you when you uploaded your very first flosstube. Your personality is so welcoming. Where did you find those Care Bears? I love them! I love your new retro shirt! lol Can't wait to see your next video and all your progress. Just curious, when you pick projects from your jar, do you remove them for the next time so you eventually get to them all? Or put the papers back do WIPS can be called more than once?

Thank you! So when I pick from my Tupperware bin, I have a random goal on there with the project. If I get the goal done, I’ll write down a second goal on the paper and put it back…..it’s not an exact science but it works for me😆

I am self taught with knit, crochet and cross stitch. Next thing to learn better is sewing with I've failed at a whole lot but won't give up on. I was knitting on a sock while watching. It is super cool you found a "you" pattern. It is so perfect. It is extraordinarily pathetic that there has to be a "movement" to be kind...cowards. 😡 Thanks for another video.

Self taught is awesome. I used KZfaq of course so I don’t know how it would have worked out if KZfaq didn’t exist😂. And you are so right, there shouldn’t have to be a movement to be kind but I guess some need a little reminder from time to time. Thanks for watching, my fellow multicraftual friend😁

I learned before YT. It was read instructions, try, grumble at strange results, rip it out....repeat. Took forever! Family kept their distance. 🤣🤣 KZfaq is FABULOUS! That is where I am going to learn sewing, much easier. Never want to go back to just instruction books again. I personally would go crazy with just a single craft. Multicraftual Rules!! 😁

Wow, kudos to you learning without KZfaq, that’s quite a feat! 🤣 I would be cursing like a sailor trying to teach myself that way. Teaching yourself to sew wasn’t too bad. It’s intimidating because you are using a machine compared to using a hook or needles. I bought a simple machine first, nothing with bells or whistles and built my skills up from there.

Well before YT that was how they trained us to learn. If you didn't have someone willing to show you it was keep trying or stop trying. I'm way to stubborn to stop. The instructions for cross stitch showed how to make the stitch "backward" to how everyone does it now. If you see someone make the stitch "backward" either they learned from someone older or they taught themselves a long time ago.

I'm binge watching you from a hobby retreat in the mountains of Pennsylvania! Re-watching actually lol! I tried those needles that you mentioned! They really do slip through the fabric like a warm knife in butter!! I did have an issue with the eye of the needle fraying my floss? It was the size 28. Have you had that or do you think it might just be a one-off issue? Thanks in advance!

I am so sorry it has taken so long to respond I am finally just catching up….A hobby retreat in the mountains sounds lovely! It might be a one off issue because I did not run into that problem as of yet
