I always enjoy watching these when I come home from church on Sunday! Big thanks personally for showing some of the lovely linens that are NOT mottled, or not much. Personally I don't care for the mottled ones at all, so it's great to see some of the others (just leaves more for the people who love it!)

Hello, Nicola! I am new to stitching on 40 ct. but 56 ct?! I am speechless. I would like to be a bit bold and request that you do a paid tutorial/workshop for Mrs. Parkman's Needlework Academy on how to stitch on 40 ct. and above linen sometime in the future for those of us beginners who are attempting to stitch reproduction samplers on higher-count linens. I know you have a very busy schedule, though. Your linens are all lovely! Your show-and-tell makes me want to use finer linens (I was partial to the Mason Linens) and learn some tips and tricks before I tackle any HATS samplers on higher-count linen. I received my HATS coasters and love them! I hope you had good luck with the electrician and that you have a joyous week! Reply

So good to see you!! I am glad you are feeling better. Your Flosstubes are full of so much information!! Thank you for taking the time to describe your linen purchase. I have been stitching on evenweave. I purchased some kits that included linen. I was afraid I would not be able to have pretty stitches with my vision. I am so pleased with my finishes. Now I am looking for other linens to purchase. You have given me a great deal of inspiration!! I appreciate you so very much!! Have a wonderful week!! By the way I love Doc Martin!! Good luck on the electrician!! ❤

What a lovely parade of linen choices. I brought several of those Mason Linens home with me from retreats in the last four months, they are luscious. Looking forward to your new releases, and the very interesting sister samplers in time. You are so right to let the electrician in at the door without delay! ❣

Thank you so much for sharing info on the Potoky stand! I ordered the mini last week from Hobby House and look forward to two handed stitching as I travel. Also, very much appreciate showing us the linens - it is so helpful to see them in your flosstube as I don’t have an LNS. Looking forward to next week’s flosstube❤️

We know how hard it is to get craftsman at our mountain home! Hope all goes well with the electrician. Thank you for sharing the linen haul. I’ll be using this as a reference because I saw some colors I’d love to have for projects. Standing by for next week’s release! Happy stitching! 🧵🪡

Happy you are feeling better Nicola! Maybe the Needle & Flax Sleeping Bear linen is named after the Sleeping Bear National Park in Michigan - where there are beautiful high sand dunes on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. I visited many years ago, it is gorgeous and reminds me of this color of linen. Could be? Thank you for showing us all this beautiful linen - it is so helpful. Happy Sunday!

Hi Nicola, great video! I loved all of the linen that you’ve purchased. I think that my favorite was called four field. Burty made a guest appearance, he’s adorable. Thanks for the suggestion of the potoky stand. Have a great week.

The linen is gorgeous! Hope you get your electrical problem fixed. I did the Hardanger Victoria Sampler Wedding Ring pillow. I did 2 of them in about 2 months times for 2 weddings six weeks apart. One I dud from the design. The second one I changed using elements from the design. I have been doing hardanger for 20 years.

Thank you very much for the linen show and tell! I loved seeing the Mason Linens and all of the Seraphim and Needle and Flax! Good luck with the electrician. Luckily I’m married to an electrician, although he worked as a Utility Electrician Foreman, so basically he can fix anything electrical around the house, including appliances!

Whilst I have not used a QSnap I understand that you can use one. I am not sure if the linen dyers I featured dye Aida but you could reach out to them.

I know you use hoops to stitch. Is there a problem with squashing/distorting the stitches you have already done when moving hoop to a different area to stitch?
@nicolaparkman
@nicolaparkman 6 ай бұрын
Hello - one of the reasons I prefer a frame is because of this problem. You have to be careful with a hoop to avoid crushing your work.

Wonderful flosstube. Do you stock up on linens when you are in the US because you don’t have the choices in the UK? I must get that Hardanger book. I did some hardanger years ago.
@nicolaparkman
@nicolaparkman 7 ай бұрын
I do. It’s hard to get linen in the UK. Tabby Cat are very good about shipping to the UK as they are based between France and England. However, for the US based dyers it’s easier to source when in the US. We go through an amazing amount of linen in stitching models so it is good to have a good and varied supply.
