I can’t believe how many WIP’s you have for a fairly new stitcher. Your choices and stitching are beautiful! I started stitching 50 years ago and I am envious that I can’t stitch everything I already have in my stash but I know that would be impossible. 😢 Enjoy all your stitching years ahead. Hi, I'm a new subscriber. I enjoyed meeting you and seeing everything that you are working on. You have a lot of cross stitch that I would love to find and start. Your work is beautiful. I have several starts this year, and I've not counted them . I had a new start at Valentine's day and my birthday is February 21, so I'm starting another new one. I used to only work on one project until it was done. But now, with all the variety, I'm not bored. Can't wait to see you again.

What a lovely WIP parade! I really enjoyed and I love most of your projects! 2023 has brought a lot on new starts for me and my WIP count now stands at 60 😵‍💫Even though I enjoyed planning all those starts (and also having many unplanned starts, just because I was excited about something) I now feel overwhelmed. It feels like I have too many children and not enough quality time to give to all of them! I also found out that I don't like switching projects too often and I felt really pressured from all my plans (SALs, WIPGO goalsm personal goals etc). So, for 2024 I decided to work on my 5 oldest WIPs, 1 WIP that's my "Finish it" piece, 1 WIP that I always have in my bag and 1 WIP that's a beaded keyring that my daughter asked to stitch for her. 8 projects in total which I work however I feel like, no goals or anything. Ok, I still have some goals for each month, but it's ok if I don't get them! Hoping to get some finishes this year and my general rules are 1 start for every 5 finishes and no new unplanned starts (I have a couple planned starts, though, there are 2 SALs I really want to participate to). I don't know if I will keep it throughout the whole year, but so far it's working great for me!

Find where the center would be on your current fabric of your carolyn manning and work out from there. That way if you do want to finish it, you don't have to redo what you've already done

Awesome WIP parade! Your little giggle every time you mention a start just made me smile. I have 2 focus projects for the year that I'll spend 3 days/month on. Then I've got WIPGO, which will be 3 days on 2 more WIP's. And finally, because FOMO, I started a HEIFR board, which will be 1 day per project so I touch every WIP this year. I'm hoping to put a couple of days on each of the pick a WIP's too. It might be too much, but it might be good to help me focus. We shall see.

First time viewer here on your channel…so pleased to have found you! I must say that for a relatively new needleworker your work is lovely and your enthusiasm is as amazing as it is catching! When I read that you had 50 WIPS I was stunned…I just had to see what you had amassed! I’m pretty much a monogamous stitcher so having 50 different projects going at one time makes my head spin. That said, I’m impressed with how you approach each project and the way you plan out how they will be worked. Your choice of patterns is also very interesting. At age 72 I’m clearly grounded in one main area of needlework: reproduction samplers. However I do branch out occasionally and spend time working sets of smalls. That mindset is sooooo not you!🤣🤣 And that’s a wonderful thing! It’s so terribly refreshing to witness a young stitcher embracing the full gamut of styles made available by today’s designers. Several of your current WIPS are patterns I adore and have in my own stash. I may be decades older than yourself but in various instances we have similar tastes. And isn’t that part of the joy one discovers through needlework? It allows us to effortlessly dismiss generational differences. You are just starting your journey, I’m strolling through the later years of mine. I hope you continue to love plying your needle and experimenting with different fabrics and flosses. You have jumped into the needlework world full force and it’s obvious that it suits you. Keep stitching…stay happy…and enjoy our shared hobby to the fullest! Oh….one more thing…I LOVE your hair style and the head tattoo…you definitely are a true creative sweetie!

Hand Wash the Aida for you dimensions kit. It will soften it up. I did that to multi dimensions kits that I started and my stitches were fine after the wash but the Aida was much easier to work with. Hope that helps.

Not me going back to your last video to see if I already knew that you started Needles Dance. I totally pulled that one out and started it for my New Year New Start too! Thanks for sharing all your WIPs and making me smile!

I noticed when your showed at the easel piece you've used a hair clip to gather parked threads. I've been doing cross country one colour at a time because I'm worried if I try parking threads the long threads will get sew down while I'm using another colour but will try this hack.

Love all your projects (and hair). I just finished Rose Quaker about a month ago, it took me like 2 years (it was my first BIG project). It’s sooo worth it to see the results, and I’m looking forward to seeing yours come together.!

Love the WIP parade!! I am also stitching Birds To The Boughs by Lindy Stitches! The combo of the birds and the colors really drew me in-I was also surprised when I realized how big it is! 😹 Am absolutely loving it so far! Am also stitching the MFE 2024 SAL. I am doing 12 months of Halloween 🎃 so I’m starting a new Halloween cross stitch every month this year woot !

Stitching Coffee and Eggs now and planning to start Away We Ride as one of my 24 starts this year. I was thinking about using. Bestitch Me Boneyard for that as well. My only concern is I have 28 count and not sure if it would be absurdly big on such a small count. Yours is looking fantastic!
