I have made that sewing room kit and it is adorable. I did change the fabric to evenweave and gave the box a light coating of cream chalk paint. I love that shop.

How lucky you were to visit cross stitch shops in Paris. My granddaughter and I were in Paris in 2003, but we were unable to break away from our tour group. Love, love, love all your goodies. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your projects.

I’m currently stitching on a tote bag with red accents. Sometimes the stitching is diffucult because there is ample space.

Love seeing your haul, beautiful items 🪡 🧵 Also, those little tins should open easier if you turn the catch on the side, and it will pop up the lid 😊

Wow Bernadette what an awesome haul. I visited Paris and Germany 30 years ago. It was on my flight to Germany that I saw a lady on the plane doing cross stitch. She told me “it is so easy”. I couldn’t wait to get back to the states so I could buy cross stitch kits, charts. I don’t remember/know if cross stitch was big overseas at that time. Look forward to seeing you work on those beautiful kits.

@@BernStitches yes it is. I cross stitched well into the 90s, but I’d say 1998 was when I stopped..new job, kids, move, etc.. picked it up again six years ago. My vision is not so good, so it takes me three times longer to finish compared to your finishes. I enjoy your enthusiasm for this craft. I look forward to your videos.

Loved your haul. I went online and purchased a kit from first LeBonheur Dames. I went to Paris several times but never went to a cross stitch store. I purchased the Unicorn as I went to the museum and saw the tapestries. I was going to buy a kit off Amazon, but this is Soooooo much better. You made my morning. I so enjoy your floss tubes. Thank You for taking the time to share with us. WHAT A TREAT

Not sure if anyone has shown you yet, but you turn the little knob on the side of the Sajou tin to pop the lid off. I love your video and can’t wait to go to the store in person this May!

Love your haul! I own quite a few Sajou kits and pattern. I have the Marie Antoinette pattern which I kitted myself with DMC. On the Sajou site there is a DMC conversion for their thread.

What a fantastic video! I’m in the Bay Area too: Petaluma. You were so excited about your pink fabric that you said “fink pabric “ at 36:40 . 😂 I learned about Sajou from Luda, who I have been following for about 4 years: love her and I’m glad they’re safe in Belgium now. Did you see the Marie Antoinette traveling exhibit when it was at the Legion of Honor several years ago? It was fab. Your dog is so cute! I’m a pastry chef so if you want any of those scrumptious goodies to nosh on them , just let me know. 😉

Yay! So exciting to find another one from the Bay. I didn't get a chance to see the exhibit, now I'm bummed that I missed it! I might take you up on that offer, I loooooove little snackies. Thank you so much for watching

In fact if it says linnen but it looks like aïda it can still be linnen. Normally aïda is made of cotton but there is also aïda that is made of linnen. Hard to find but it exists!

That makes sense! I was reading the list and it said linen but it was definitely Aida. I learned something new 😊
