A tip: another stitcher mentioned to SLIDE a Qsnap clamp off instead of trying to pry it off. I have found this to work for me, as well.

I do the exact same thing Erin. Stuff, roll, and snap! I also use a little piece of white felt between my stitching and the snaps. Who knows but I feel like it protects the floss a little better and it gives better traction. I like my Q-Snaps DRUM TIGHT! Thanks for all the great videos. You’re the best!

Thanks for the video! I am doing my first big project and have really struggled getting my excess fabric in the grime guard. I basically did the same thing as you and I have one big huge fat corner of material, lol. When I take it out to move the fabric over I see what a crushed and creased mess it is and wonder if that actually irons out okay. Have you had any issues with getting rid of those creases after? I have this horrible thought that I’m going to be spending 2.5 years doing this and then won’t be able to iron out all that crushed material and it will look awful!

I mostly do the same thing you do, but mine is a tiny bit different. The one edge that you folded over to protect the stitching, I do that on all the sides. So I fold the far edge of the unused fabric onto the base of the qsnap and clamp it. I don't know if that makes any sense. It basically folds the extra fabric in half and makes it a little easier for me to wrangle with the peels and the grime guard.

I don't park in the next diagonal. If my thread isn't used in the diagonal I am working on, but is in the next one, I will end it and wait until I hit it in the next diagonal. That keeps me from putting my clamps on parked threads. And like you, I roll and stuff!

Hi Erin. This past weekend, I absolutely struggled with my QSnaps. I have only used them a couple times. I had so much fabric and your video has really helped!! I had my fabric so stuffed under the grime guard that it looked like a big puffy mess. Lol. Thank you!

When you put the snap over stitches you've already worked, does it damage the work you've already done?

I am starting on a couple of HAED projects so I've been wondering about fabric management myself. You asked if we had found any other solutions -- check this out: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fZ99arJ-3rfLZqs.html. This lady uses ribbons! I will be testing both methods and probably some others to see what works best for me. Thanks for your video!
