Hi Teresa, can I make a suggestion? In my humble opinion, I would do samplers on a solid or muted colored background. I think the background is competing with the thread color. Do a test stitch on a solid or muted color. See if you'll like that better.

I couldn't stitch a big design... It makes me crazy 🤪 When I am stitching a little design I am already stressed. To change color, to have afraid to make a mistake, etc... And especially, I couldn't do your technic to leave many threads suspended on my work... It makes me crazy 😁 Great job and congratulation 🥰

Yes! This is what I mean exactly. The Long Dog Sampler "Tap Dancer" is on a muted colored background and the stitching stands out. Looks great! But! Wow, I'm impressed with the WIPs. Any boss would be very lucky to have you as an employee. You are so organized and focused and analytical. You got a lot done. Beautiful stuff Teresa. I wish my stitches looked as good as yours. Thanks for sharing. Love love love

I enjoyed your parade! Think posiitive and keep remembering that this is a hobby ment to enjoy and relax. You really did do a lot. Life gets in the way sometimes and that is as it should be. Loved your sweet finishes!!

Every time I watch a WIP parade, I end up feeling like Charlie Bucket from the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film where his teacher asks him, "How many chocolate bars have you bought?" and Charlie says, "Two... Just two." I did plan on making some Christmas berries this year though, but considering the fact that I'm currently stitching a little birds cross stitch that was supposed to be a gift, I think it's a good thing I decided to hold off until next year. 😅 All of your stitching is beautiful, Teresa! Don't consider this year a failure at all!

Thank you for the spreadsheet! I have used it the last two years and really enjoy it! I think I have too many WIPs though, because it gets a bit glitchy. But still works fine for me!

Yay You! 10 finishes is awesome! I only had 3 unless you count the 9 of the 12 smalls that I am stitching as one larger piece. Then the baby blanket hit and I've been bogged down ever since. Making steady progress, though. And looking forward to finishing that so I can get back to stitching what I want to stitch. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!!

Teresa why don’t you restart that Christmas Fairy Magic, the thread is sucking the joy out of it! Use the thread for it on something small or donate or sell them. You really don’t have that much time invested in it. What about 300 stitches. 😢 I have a project I hate working on due to only doing a few stitches and having to stop restarting the thread every few stitches. I thought it was so cute and really like the design Flaming Ghoul by Ardith Designs, but hate stitching it (I am almost finished with it but love my fabric and thread) I just don’t like the stopping and restarting every few stitches( I hated)😊

When you say "stitched on 25 count evenweave, are you working with one or two, over 2 over 2, or 1over one please. I am having a great deal of problems understanding this 25 count fabric, I have watched all of your bigginers video's again, but I still can't get my head around it. Hope you have a happy and peaceful holiday?

Normally for 25, 27 and 28 Ct you do two threads over two. But in the end it’s up to you and how big you want the final design to be 💕 I love 25ct though, I do two over two and it goes so fast!
