Fun Fact wood will not rot once the water content reaches a certain amount. Rot is caused by fungus which if there is too much water or too little can't happen. That is why wooden ships do not rot at the bottom of the ocean. Cedar heartwood is also very resistant to rot and that is why cedar stumps and post can last for hundreds of years after being cut. Some of the oldest trees alive are cedars living on the edges of bluffs and mountains and aren't very big trees but because they are isolated and protected from fire and other trees and animals damaging them they can live for thousands of years.

Because of you, Dan Hurd, and of course Rigby, the hardest working miner ever🤪I went panning over the fourth of July break with my brother for the first time. Second pan, found a small flake that under a magnifying glass, looks like a baby in the womb. Only found .157 grams, but we found gold, and now I'm hooked. Thank you sir, and Rigby

Looked like a beautiful day on the creek. I just got back from camping and on Friday we got an 1 3/4” of rain. Everything flooded again. Never seen a year like this. Great video Jason explaining how you mine on a creek and got some nice gold again. The boys seemed to be digging in the wrong spot but they were having fun. Yes and it is the world’s best hobby. So, if you wanna speed up your clean up time by a few hours, trust the inside bend of DEF tubing. Parts houses often have customers throw it away, brand new, and they'll use a funnel, so it doesn't cost anything to grab a few, 3 piece minimum to get the length right. & connect them end to end with short chunks of scrap hose. Corkscrew the slope downwards creates the inside bend. Put a funnel on the top a dump in a scoop, it'll chew through a half gallon in twenty minutes. I bought your gold, the black poison to give demonstrations. No losses. none. You'll have a baby spoon of fines when you're done, pretty clean too. Lots easier.

I can't agree more, why we actively take disabled veterans out gold panning, mining, or processing at home or here if they are restricted to a chair ect.. 4y From UVA in clinical psychology out the widow in the 1st hour in the creek, 100%. Correct brother, kinda like you, my life is about sharing it, just im a private military or mil family only hence the privacy and not sharing as much on social. I'm so overheated and dehydrated from work today that I'm watching this and all I want to do is lay down in a stream like where you're working til I can't feel my limbs! My Wisconsin connection is this: I was born in Madison, lived there for a year. It's a tough go around Picksburgh, but get up into N-central & you can find glacial gold. Screen for arrowheads along the Ohio outside the city limits, the further away the better -- into WV even. Supposedly a diamondiferous pipe down near Masontown in Fayette Co ( that might be Greene County.) Do some research on all of the above, 10/4.

Was near Wabeno years ago. The national forrest i was in had this little creek running through it that was all black sand and flourgold. Was one of the prettiest sights ive ever seen.

Over here in Iowa my main river I go to is still bank to bank full. And we’re still having torrential rain storms every so often. It’s nice to have a little creek to go to that you know has gold in it. Thanks for taking us all along out on your adventure.
