FLOW UP! THE CATHARTY QUEST CONTINUES is the after-image's sister experience to LET'S EXORCISE! A COMMUNITY CATHARTY PARTY, though it can be enjoyed as a unique event. It is an interactive multimedia installation that uses the physical and emotional artifacts audience members released at a recent LET'S EXORCISE! as source material. Over the course of FLOW UP!, the audience creates new beginnings for things that appear, on their surface, to have already met their end.
The world premiere of FLOW UP! ran at The Movement Lab at Barnard College April 5 - 7, 2024. This recording reflects part of that run.
It featured Multimedia Design by Kate St. John and Sound Design by Nick Alselmo (DJ Scenick Roots). Full credits below.
Flow Up! The Catharty Quest Continues was developed, in part, under the auspices of an Artist Residency at the Movement Lab in the Milstein Center of Barnard College.
