Hi, I personally don't use Snazaroo as I find other brands work much better for me but I know a lot of artists who do and they seem to get nice results. I think they work best for base work and blend easily but if you want something a bit bolder for lines i'd try Diamond FX, Wolfe or Tag. I have used brushes from Hobby Craft for a long time, I think the blue handled ones work best for face painting, however I just recently got a set of Lowe-Cornell and I cannot recommend them enough.

Great tutorial. keep um coming, Iv recently started learning myself to face paint and been using Snazaroo , Iv noticed you use other brands would you say it works/applies better than Snazaroo and also what brushes would you recommend iv been using brushes from hobby craft and noticed they dont seem to hold enough paint on one swoosh or tear drop and i have to load the brush again, when noticed you can do quite a few with one load,

Missed seeing your tutorials. Thanks for starting more. I'm not a professional face painter in any way, but help to raise funds for my daughters' playgroups and primary school; I was a scientist but now web designer. I look forward to seeing more fabulous tutorials. Oh, where do you et Lowe-Cornell brushes?

I recently did my first face painting event (it was a huge success!), but while I was painting, I had issues with the paint drying. The paint didn't dry quickly enough so I was either awkwardly sitting there waiting, or going ahead and painting which resulted in yucky blends. What do you do when you are waiting for paint to dry? Is there a certain way you paint so that this doesn't happen??

Hello Ashlea, Please do more tutorial with new designs. I love you and Lisa Joy Young and because of you two it really got me into face painting. I use the two of you as my teachers so the more tutorials I can watch for the two of you lovely ladies help me out in practicing. I really have been studying your style for a few months and practicing so I can start my face painting company. Keep up the great work and vlog more newer designs PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Ashlea Henson Hi Ashlea! Thanks for the reply and I will definitely check out your other channels. Can I ask, please, do a tutorial on products you recommend as in brushes, paints, quick designs for children's parties. Also I would love your input in one of your vlogs about how ready one would be in face painting. What I mean about that is Lisa Young did a vlog about her favorite brushes, paints, and she added that if you can not face paint at least ten people within an hour then you aren't ready yet, so I completely took that into consideration, and I am trying to face paint at least ten within the hour, which I can't yet. So practice makes perfect. Please keep your vlogs coming with new designs and also I love how detailed you are in your tutorials which help while I am still learning. Can't wait to see more and have you ever thought of you and Lisa Young teaming up on one design, that would be awesome ( just an idea...lol)! Thanks and please Ashlea, any suggestions would help me to become a successful face painter as yourself!!!
